Spot on one-eyed the idea is to build stronger bonds with the school. The original idea was to have this game against Pultney, because they were our intercol rival at school back when lots of our guys went through. Unfortunately this did not work out, so the next logical fixture was to be against another OS team being BOS.

As it turns out it means that we effectively have 5 away games in a row (Kenilworth, BOS, Pultney, Plympton & Smithfield) before the final game of the year at home against IF. Bit of a s***t result really during the business end of the season.

they would of been some lopsided intercols then wouldn't they?

Tips for this weelk:

Rosewater over Ingle Farm... 15 goals
Pultney over Smithfield... 10 goals
WOS over BOS (game of the week)... under 1 goal
Hope Valley over Kenilworth... 10 goals
Plympton over Elizabeth... 6 goals

Looking at the next 5 rounds, at the end of the minor round i reckon the Div 5 ladder might look like...

Pultney
Plympton
BOS
WOS
Rosewater
Hope Valley
Elizabeth
Smithfield
Kenilworth
Ingle Farm

Setting up a Plympton v BOS and WOS v Rosewater 1st round of finals. Exciting.

However in a Division this tight I'm sure there will be upsets in the next 5 rounds. Games to watch will be...
WOS v BOS, Pultney v WOS, Rosewater v Plympton, Pultney v Rosewater, Plympton v WOS, BOS v Plympton.

Its a pet peeve of mine that clubs use their injury list as an excuse why they lost, or a chance to puff their chests out when they win and still have players out!

every club has players out...

wouldubelieve12 from Plympton is the biggest culprit of them all, they will win by 15 goals and he'll tell you that Plympton's A Grade team bus drove off a cliff and they had to fill the side with U16's

i have't even said anything in a while...... iv stopped doing that....

I've noticed... your too busy typing lumps on the Adelaioe & Suburban forum!!!!

Don't worry, i'm like santa, i see everything!!!

yeah i know i just apologised for it.... intoxicated!!!!!

It could be a blessing in disguise though, away from your comfort zone will only make you guys better prepared for the finals.

nice story by jimmy about andre kulpe..great player and a HV legend..

to the div 5 writer: what i say on here is my opinion only..your articles are NOT discussed at the club at all so dont make up stories that they are..they are never mentioned..they dont mean anything or carry any weight at the club..and i wasnt complaining about you going "soft" on us, far from it, i was complaining that when we played plympton you selected us by 60 and then when we played wos it goes up to 120, and of course the guy who broke his leg at the 40 minute mark of the game that you said played a great game..to your credit your margins have been very accurate..well done..i stand fully amazed at your nostradamic predictions LOL

should be a great game at the school this week. We are looking forward to the next 3 weeks. Will see if we deserve to play finals. Should get a few back in that time fingers crossed.

On another note had a new player out on track Tuesday night moved very well and hit the ball like he has never had time off.

A big "Double thumbs up" to the writer and a bit of a tip to any complainers, if you want players to get recognized for their efforts, write a brief summary of your match to any of the e-mail addresses shown in the budget. The man is not superman and he can't get to every game, give him some assistance and he'll provide some more accurate feedback.
Once again, well done mate.

I was referring to the fact that he read the Elizabeth vs Smithfield review and took some notes on board. If everyone complains that the water bottle is empty, it will never get filled, I took it upon myself to send a report, one from an Elizabeth supporter and one from ours, presto, we have some new names in their for both teams.
I'm not sure which address was the correct one but I'll be doing the same next week, feel free to pm me with some details and I'll forward them on with my summary.
I see where you're coming from zed and understand your frustration, I'd be p!ssed too if one of our players broke is leg early and got a big wrap. Let's give him some info to go by and turn the write-ups into some accurate entertaining reading, can't change the past but we can improve the future.
