but saying that phantom i also must add that the win is the best win i'v been involved in at paralowie in my 190odd games yeah thats a big call i know but to have a huge wind going 1 way and to be 7 or 8 goal down at half time and win was amazing what a win

i agree 100% with boothey but i also think jamie sibbick will poll very well thing against him will be the fact he missed 2 or 3 games early in the year. and big ian bellman imo is the best big man in div 6 and normally the umps like the ruckman. who would off thought 4 weeks ago the roos will be a real contender to play finals well now its looking like a real possibility with the fact they have the units and glenunga in the final month.

You may be right Robran, but I have this feeling that you guys might steal votes off each other, where Boo may be a stand out for the Roos.

Just a thought.

west croydon just seem to lose interest after half time it seemed like they thought they were home being 7 up or what ever it was at half time it was a total differant side that come out after half time

Disappointing to hear that there may have been some unsavoury incidents in the MP vs Hectorville game.

I watched until 3/4 time and didn't see anything untoward at all. I would like to hear some detailed reports of some incidents if they happened afterwards.

I spoke to a few of our guys after the game and several reported that some of the incidents were started by Hectorville players and Mitchell Park players overly reacted. There was one report of a purposeful trip by a MP player - that is completely unacceptable and all people involved at the club have made is abundantly clear that sort of act on the football field will not go without reprimand.

As for the coach swearing....well, I really don't think there is much in that to be honest. If you don't want your kids to hear the F word then let don't let them be around grown men playing football.

I think this is again a case of Mitchell Park being unfairly maligned by the amateur football community for a reputation that was once deserved. We have had two reports this year, both resulted in a few games suspension and internal sanctions. Whilst we are not happy with anyone getting reported and suspended it's not a bad record for a club and team that is supposedly full of snipers and dogs.

Do we have guys in the club that can hurt you? Yes. So does every club. The problem with Mitchell Park is that teams (and umpires!) know of our reputation and exploit it. It's a weakness that we need to work on but there is no way in gods green earth that MP are any more or less "dirty" than other sides playing in D6.

It would be really good if people posting on internet forums would restrain themselves from slurring an entire club and community based on the perceived actions of a very few.

You are kidding yourself if you think you are being unfairly 'maligned' as you put it.
I could point out 6 reportable incidents that I saw personally, and from all accounts there were more.

A couple of glaringly obvious reportable incidents during the game which are inexcusable were-

1) Paul Wootton getting punched in the head about 6-7 times on the half forward line just before half time. This was by number 7, who I believe is your B grade coach. The umpire was 30 metres away and no report was made. Lucky Paul is a tough nut. Took the punches well.

2) Terry Bignell- CHB/Full Back- was standing one of the McDonnell brothers. Was minding his own business and watching the play then Mcdonnell punches him square in the face for no apparent reason. Only reason I can think of was because he hadnt had a kick all day and was frustrated. This resulted in the other Mcdonnell brother running in and throwing punches. Both Terry and L. Mcdonnell were sent off for 10 mins.

These two plus many others and the fact that anytime a Hectorville player got the ball a Mitchell PK player came in late with an elbow or jumper punch or punch tackle. Plus we had a broken nose and split jaw from two other cowardly acts.

Newsflash- that is not how to play tough football. That sort of stuff is C grade crap, just gutless really.
