Super 2nd half effort by WOS yesterday against really good opposition.

i expect to see a good showing from I/F this week though, i think they can close the margin below 100...

maybe if rosewater decide not to play

Phantom strikes again, Ingle Farm played their best game of the season and stayed with rosewater all day before being overrun and losing by 8 goals...

Mighty Hounds, wasnt a case of Rosewater deciding not to play but a matter of Ingle Farm coming ready to play and finally starting to reap the rewards of a tough season....

Think MH took a leaf out of his own book with BOS not bringing their game.

yeh not good....ate my words well and truly

WOS v BOS...

Good footy match in the first half... however, WOS dominated the 2nd half, no-one could stop the Big Boy Malcolm up forward, just the lazzy 11 snag-rolls - 6 in the 3rd 1/4 ... probably 10+ contested grabs aswell... that'll bring the crowds back to div5 footy!!

What happened to that Parish fella from Blackfriars? Went down like a sack of sh*t early on.. is he badly injured??

From what I hear and gather by the scoring shots Kenilworth were a tad unlucky not to walk away with the points at Valley Road yesterday.Plenty of the ball just didn't take the chances when they presented. Will be an interesting clash next week.

Yep, very unlucky. Excellent game though and Kenilworth really came out to play. Top effort by the Kookas..

thanks FC..they did come to play and were very unlucky not to win..i thought we controlled 60% of the game but the patch before half time when valleys scored 4 goals in the last 4 minutes of the quarter sealed the win..very brave effort by the boys including 1 x 16 & 1 x 15 y/old and 2 lads who played a full b grade game first..duggan was held superbly to only 6 touches and after half time the #3 was smothered..a good crowd in attendance saw a pretty good game..certainly wasnt "hope valley easily" :)

kudos to LM and the smithfield boys on a great win

Was excellent to see a large contingent of Rosewater players and coaches at the bar after the game, poor form was a small group of their supporters who kept up a constant barrage of foul mouthed abuse at IF players, supporters and officials, even cheering and calling players soft and weak and were totally feral abusing a player coming off with the blood rule, this player is only 15. Seriously they were straight out of deliverance, years of in breeding.

Didnt realise we were playing under 16's and didnt realise he was wearing a yellow guernsey to show he was under age!If he playing seniors he up for as much attention as anyone else.
Every club has foul mouth supporters which Ingle Farm has had their share throughout the years!
Not saying its all ok but ffs its senior footy and think imay have heard yourself abuse some players in your time ;)

well summarised swervyn. 4 quick goals at beginning of thrid term and we really weren't in the contest after that. i thought we had struggled and fought hard to stay in the game in the first half and be within 9 points.
parish went down in the first 2 mintues with a 'corked hip/lower back'. not sure of the technical term for the injury. he was in a fair bit of pain for 20-30 minutes and didn't return. that hurt us.
full credit to WOS, they were far too good. they are right in the hunt.

Have the day off work so thought I'd put my tips up early...

Kenilworth over Ingle Farm... 10 goals. Sounds like a solid effort by the Kookas on the weekend, should pay off this week with their 2nd win of the season.
WOS over Pultney under 1 goal. Go back 7 days and you would have had to have rated Pultney as favourites in this match. However, going by last weeks form, WOS were dominant, whereas Pultney were dismal. Also interesting to note recent posts on here suggesting numbers at training have dropped off for Pultney. Will they come out firing this week after a disappointing loss, or has their concentration/determination dropped off at the wrong time of the year??? I watched these two play last time they met and it was a fantastic contest. I wouldn't expect anything less this week.
BOS over Smithfield 5 goals. Again, going back 7 days you would have thought BOS as certainties to take out this game. I think I've previously written that Smithfield may as well start planning for 2010, however it seems they're keen to take a few scalps with them along the way! They will come into this match full of confidence but BOS would have to come out firing after last week and Smithfield has not shown the ability to string consistent form together week to week this year, so my tip is BOS.
Plympton over Rosewater 3 goals. I could well be proved wrong here. Whilst Plympton took out the points last week, my premiership favourites looked far from convincing. Rosies have strung a few wins together recently, including one away from home aginst WOS, to build momentum and confidence towards the business end of the season. However Plympton have the best defence in the Div and will come away with the points.
Elizabeth over Hope Valley 3 goals. I would have pencilled this one in for a Hope Valley win, but they seem to have dropped a long way off from the side that knocked off Plympton Round 1. I'll go with the home side.

Looks like it'll be another big week though with some great contests.

Hopefully for his & BOS sake he recovers quickly...

Hey Possum - 'corked hip/lower back'.... maybe I should change my line of work & take up physio
