when cigarette sponsorship was given the flick the sponsorship of the pre-season night competition was taken over by the above 'companies' to continue it lasted a few years then disbanded the last 'night grand final was wwt v cd & thats because they were the top two sides at the half way mark of that particular year (guessing 1995) where wwt beat cd with a scoreline of 5 goals to 4 or something similar

so i say lets get back to that instead of purely trial games & we can play them at elizabeth,norwood & possibly alberton & thebarton as i would presume the adelaide oval would still be used for cricket & as the other grounds get updated lights we can play at more grounds

Better off increasing the season to 27 rounds- each club plays each other & gets a bye 3 times.
