Does it really matter who grabs 5 spot SHOC, Angle Vale, Flinders Uni they will be just making up the numbers. They all have played some good games but just as bad in others. None have beaten a side in the top 4 to date. At least North Pines have done that. Maybe they should be given 5th spot on default. Unless 1 of these team’s can win a game against a top 4 side. In the next 4 weeks.

shoc is the worst umpire i have seen and cheats and does things his way not by the book and told are captain at the time (picko) that it's his way and this is why he shouldn't be umpiring or have control of any game i no the crabs put a 5 page report in about him to the saafl and the other umpire at the confirm that the report was correct we got told he couldn't umpire any more a grade games i think it's time that they saafl act and don't let him umpire again in any grade (go the crabs) the other rumor is that angle vale have pick up 4 new players and 1 person name that come up was i ricky o'loughlin anyone confirm this :D

Unless they are playing them under different names, then I would say the rumour is rubbish. Angle Vale have just had a few good players return from injury and their form has picked up.

yeah not too bad, we ended up with a decent amount of cash in the till and the BBQ and canteen went off too! we have since restocked everything and paid the league $800.

our current debt is now just under $1400, it was originally $3700 less than two weeks ago! so we are well on our way, from pledges we've seen about $500 or so which is great, our problem is now that we have 1 more home game for the season so makin money won't be so easy from now on, any more help will be more than appreciated!!!

You should plan a bit of a piss-up for Round 18. After the St Paul's game, get all the lads + more to have end of year celebration drinks at the club, notify everyone of when Preso night will be (again another night at the club) and then maybe have another get together at the club after watching one of the Div 7 finals.

that's definately on the cards but our fees need to be paid before Rd 18... so we need to get into gear earlier than that. See the SOFTY thread, i've put a bit more detail into that, this should be for footy talk...

on footy talk, anyone think that Novosel WON'T kick a ton? and who is firmin up as a medal hopeful?

Pigsy thinks Nuggety v Novosel would be a battle of the Giants.

Picking a ruckman this year will be hard, most of them are fairly tireless and a great asset to their respective team, but no one ruckman is particularly dominating.

Yes i think you should do it Nuggety...would make my job a lot easier if you're out of the midfield :D

Hopefully he can kick a bag this week and maybe line up to do against Uni next week which will be our Past Players/Ladies Day...but i'm tipping it will be either at Houghton (i'm sure he'll get a great reception there hey Quichey :) ) or last round at home against Ovies which coincidently will be his 100th game for the footy club.

Totally agree hasn't been a dominant ruckman this year like previous years, all do their job required for their club....Dodd, Burgess from AV and Fenton from Athelstone will no doubt be up there I reckon.

It's good that you named a few blokes. I reckon over the next couple of weeks everyone should have a dip at it and nominate some teammates from different positions who should get a look in. Would make it a little easier for the blokes writing the budget too :D
