That quarter was a complete departure from the 1st half in that North looked the better team for the first half of the quarter and then Eagles cut loose for quick goals late in the quarter. North need 2 quick goals early in the final term or it will be very unlikely they can win.

One thing I've noticed about Hargraves today is there is absolutely no second effort. Don't know if he's fot either/

Darryl Wintle marks but misses for the Roosters from 50m out.

Passador and Skipworth has goaled for the Eagles.

Eagles 9-17, North 9-7

This goal is the marker to show the way it just seems meant to be.

Into the breeze North had all the run; the momentum; had not conceded a goal against the breeze in the 18 minutes the quarter had gone.

4 or 5 North players were on the half back flank onto one Eagles player (I cannot recall who) Another Eagles player came in and somehow North end up losing it through holding the ball. The ball is kicked to Passador who marked, played on and goals. The momentum stops.

I would have been happy to seen North kick a few more to almost seal the match before this, but no, North fall asleep, and the margin blew out to 29 points.

In almost the same fashion as last years first semi, the accuracy that plagued us up to this point, suddenly switches to North. (remembeing the 13.1 to 10.10 scoreline last year ended up 15.9 to 16.14.)

Darryl Wintle missed two goals in the last quarter which both were gettable. Instead both end up in exactly the same spot - the wind did not carry the ball at all to the right. It just is meant to be that way, and I've got to go through it all again next week.
