Has McEvoy ever obtained a hard ball get, very unlikely!!

It is a worry when his own team-mates want him to miss through injury because they know he is defeated before he gets out there!!! Who gives a rats if he can kick goals from the clubrooms, the bottom line is he has a heart a size of a pea and the reason the footy ground has a fence is to keep blokes like him in there!!

Mitcham have their Miss Mitcham function coming up... Maybe they can just turn up in their footy attire! Probably apart from the captain Shaw who seems to be a good bloke and leads from the front and the ruckman Hardy, outside that there are not too many you would go into the trenches with!!

geez your beeing a bit harsh on the thug call i reckon...nar nar your probably right on the money there ; i was actually given the task of standing in the hole against portland last year while andy was at full forward (playing for north haven) and i can tell you i would much rather be on his team than by playing against him, with out a doubt he is the most intimidating player in div 3. we need that physical presence as we are a very young side. and piccachu don't be surprised if lipson gets a couple of defenders :D

Oh he is so scary. He scared me so much i kicked 3 goals in 5 minutes to win the game against you scrubs. Lippo is more intimidating than him.

The 2 grand finalists in my opinion will be the teams that have the the double chance and play a home prelim final.
All of the top 4 have awesome home records and neither SPOC, SMOSH or PARA HILLS have dropped a game at home this season, SPOC and SMOSH host big games this week followed by SMOSH v SPOC and PARA HILLS v WALKERVILLE in round 16 which will ultimately prove the ladder positioning.
I think SPOC will occupy 1 GF spot and think it will be between Wakerville and Para Hills to fight for the last spot and the team that finishes higher to play off against SPOC
If SMOSH lose both there games at home in the next fortnight (which im expecting) that will make it hard for them to win the flag from 4th but finals footy is a different ball game and i wont write them off.
I think Para Hills will be the wildcard team as there midfield when playing well mixed with there potent forward line will be hard to stop

The fight for 5th is between us (SCOTCH), OLD IGGIES and PORTLAND.
Portland have a favourable last 4 games whilst Mitcham have a tough run home
Even if Mitcham win this week and next week v Salisbury they might fall short on percentage, seeing as the play Smosh and Spoc in the last 2 rounds.
Portland have 4 winnable games and a percentage that will hold them in good stead come round 18.
I think our round 16 clash against Old Iggies will prove who gets 5th spot as we both have similar runs home

Ladder after round 18
SPOC
WALKERVILLE
PARA HILLS
SMOSH
SCOTCH

loser of WOODVILLE SOUTH v PORTLAND in round 16 to join SALISBURY in getting relegated.

Fair assesment B&G. I think everyone agrees SPOC are the team to beat ATM. Interesting how a few of us differ as to who is second best. PH are very good, i just think their lack of a quality ruckman is going to hurt them come finals time. Still a very open race for the flag.

Not sure you can count us as a contender for the final 5 - it would take a lot of good fortune for that to happen !!! We have only won 3 games this year, so its a massive task for us to win the next 4.

Salisbury v Scotch - despite plenty of injuries of late, I think scotch should still get the win away from home and keep them in the hunt.
Mitcham v Portland - always a cracking game, the Hawks at home to get a good win.
SPOC v Para Hills - bit of an upset here, PH lads looked good last week with a damaging forward line, and SPOC have lost some key players in Copping and Botten (done for the year I've heard..)
SMOSH v Walkies - 50/50 IMO, but the experience of Walkerville to just see them through
Old Iggies v Woody South - should get the points on their horrible oval, Woodies not looking too flash.

All in all a very interesting round, will go a long way in deciding who gets 5th spot, the formation of the top 4, and who is still fighting off relegation.

B&G - don't think Portland could make finals given iggies/scotch run home, and don't write off the Hawks. But they are a real chance of avoiding relegation, despite Felchs bullsh*t comments a few weeks back:

Felch wrote:Any faint hope of staying in D3 gone now for us. 3 games behind, with 5 games to play is an impossible task. We could win all 5 and still fall short. Hopefully we can stuff up some finals aspirations for the teams fighting for 5th spot, seeing we play all them in the coming weeks.

Portland lads - will be interesting to see your 21 tonight...

The coach who got sacked fro the A grade at Adelaide Lutheran is now assistant coach at SPOC. Just a piece of useless information i thought i would add.

I think my comment is still spot-on Hawkie !!!

We have won 3 games this year - 2 against bottom-placed Salisbury !!! A team ahead of us would have to choke big-time for us to save ourselves.

As i said, hopefully we can stuff up some of the other teams finals hopes over the coming weeks...

Starting with Mitcham this week !!! :D

Scotch over Salisbury - 10 goals - Massive game for Scotch, percent is vital!
Mitcham over Portland -5 goals - Portland have been all talk all season - this week no different
SPOC over Para Hills - 2 goals - should be tight, could go either way
Walkerville over SMOSH - 4 goals - another tight one - but if Walkerville turn it on, they should win
Old Iggies over W.South - Iggies in better form at the moment
