Im glad you did too because in retrospect I stuffed up big time in my original post in the meaning I was trying to convey hence why I wasn't upset with Eagleeye as I can understand from my original post the meaing some would get, and I apologise for that.

I think it's fair to say everyone who isn't an Eagles fan wanted the Roosters to get up today.

The atmosphere next week would have been awesome had they won, but alas, it's not to be.

Anyway North fans, get down there next week as we're playing off in the Reserves GF.

And on the flip side NFC, as an Eagles man - I don't give toss about anyone else making the Grand Final, regardless of crowds, atmosphere, etc.
MY atmosphere of MY team in the grand final is all I want.

Death. The atmosphere is death.
But you have to be in it to win it. Can't get a flag if you don't make the Grand Final.

*shrug*

Don't really care for the past.

Isn't the point that I love my club and want them to win?
Regardless of what the past his given?

So easy to throw stones from down there.

Dogsbosdy, etc, thanks I appreciated the calls and good luck next week, thanks for the calls when I was down, it was appreciated.

Full marks to the Central fans I talked to today, they knew they were in for more of a fight if North got through and they genuinely wanted North to get through to have a decent GF, I couldn't imagine being in a position to wanting a GF where I thought the other team had a chance but they were all that way inclined.

As an Eagles fan, this is the offensive part. Here we have a side that has been comprehensively beaten by the Doggies in every GF since 2000 and yet we keep getting off the canvas and having another crack. No heart - you don't know the meaning of what you said. This side has more heart than another of the other 7 sides.

If every other club doesn't want us to play off in GFs then for gods sake knock us out of the finals race - the problem is none of you are good enough to do it (with the exception of West in 2003) - the last three years, Sturt, Port and North have had an opportunity and all have failed!

PS : What makes you think North would have made a game of it given you have lost 23 of 25 matches against the Doggies?

Chances are that that was coming from Centrals fans, not Wedgie.

Fair enough, it's just strange that you win through to the GF and yet everyone knows they don't stand a chance.

The Eagles have been the stand out best team in the comp this year, it would be great for footy if they won the flag next week.

Nah, I agree with you Kirky and I can understand why you find my original post offensive, I didn't put a lot of thought into my original post, and like today in the last quarter I let my emtotions get the best of me but thankfully the Eagles supporters around me accepted my apologies today and I hope you do to. The Eagles were the better side and deserve to be there and good luck to you next week and apologies for what my original post might have implied.

You're spot on, for a side like the Eagles to keep losing year after year to the the Dogs yet keep coming back for another short shows an incredible amount of heart and I sincerely apologise for the implications of my original post on this thread (and I don't apologise too often).

Also a big thank you to the Eagles official who sent me a PM, it meant a hell of a lot and you're a credit to your club.

Beat the Dogs twice this year. Finish on top of the ladder.
Lose a final to them and then it's strange that we win through.

Go figure.

Spell_Check, irrespective of who it came from it shows how people have no understanding of the words "no heart" - to keep getting knocked down and get back up again and have another crack suggests the opposite. I would have thought Doggies supporters would love to see us again then again should we win they know that all that pent up emotion will be released like a tidal wave on Sunday - I have long memories.

Go figure.

Beat them twice in the H&A season.

VERY big difference, your mob is scared, timid and have no belief that they can beat the Dogs in September. Everyone, besides maybe a few biased on-lookers, knows this and have no doubts they will win yet again.
