unfortunately today the para hills boys went down, they were out played in some areas of the game, plenty of run through spoc midfield and full credit for their win.

what was also most unfortunate was the standard of umpiring from one in particular, to list all of his deplorable decisions id be here to long and to be honest dont have the time for the bloke, the one that takes the cake is his footyshow vision from thursday night re enactment of the dustin fletcher 50 metre penalty from the other week, to be quoted the exact same words ("demonstrative demeanour'') for a free kick that not a single player on the ground or supporter could tell what was for was staggering, i hope both sides have marked him way below standard, im sure spoc would agree that he was terrible, ive seen blind freddie umpire better games then that and should not be allowed to umpire at that level again this season. to be quoted those words is an obvious indication that an umpire is being influenced from a higher source and trying to be 'involved' in the game, an absolute disgrace, and i dont feel i could watch a game again if he was to umpire. i know with out them the game can not be played, but that is not a standard anyone has to abide to, not even a div 6 or c section.

also heard that spoc c grade forfeited due to no guernseys? whats the story there?

We went down to Scotch by seven points after leading all day, had a 23-point lead at three-quarter-time and couldn't hold on.

Heard Portland beat Mitcham too, makes this interesting.

Great result for the boys today. Still keeping the door open to stay in the division. The umoiring was rather one sided until half time. Cant comment on the rest. They were rather crap to be honest. wether they had mates playing for mitcham or what i dont know. They were very bloody average. Not what ive seen as acceptable at this level. I do have to say that the ground is a health and safety issue. It is far too unsafe foe anyone to play on. The club itself will not train on the some parts of the ground ecause it is too insafe. This was told to me by the bloke standing me. Surely there can be something done or possibly thought about. It was a good day and as was stated earlier on here that we will play some of the sides vying for or to better their positions in the finals and try to hamper that. Mitham was one and hopefully we can keep some form to continue and stay in div 3. Great work boys well done

Tear up mate... the ground is in better shape than it has been for weeks. None of us are super stars and deserve anything better... You had the better of it anyway, with your attempts to throw our players over the fence with every opportunity. Congrats to the Portland players, they seemed to want the win more in the final quarter. However very disappointed with the Portland runner, his behaviour and racist comments towards Mitcham players were disgusting.

Careful mate, I hope you’ve got something to back that up, to publicly name someone as making racist comments is a big allegation

Plenty of boys on the sidelines heard what your runner had to say to our player, and it will be followed up, absolutely piss weak effort (but about all you can expect from your mob). As for the ground, it's probably in the best condition it's been in all year, yeah the centre is hard, but if you can't handle that mate, consider a different sport!
Can't fault the Portland A grade lads, wanted it more in the last quarter, and go it. We were 'unlucky', 3 goals in the last we should have kicked and didn't, that was the difference. The umpires paid free kicks for holding the ball without opportunity to get rid of it all day, but they were paid both ways, all day, so can't complain, you just have to adjust to them sometimes.
On another note - who's responsible for letting the lady in the hat out for the day!?!?!?!
Cheers for the drink Felch, owe you one. Had a word to the dentist, won't happen again ;)

I was near the box when that mitcam player turned and said "who said that who said that".
Lighten up stupid I didnt hear anything untoward. Your fences are close to the line so if a player is running flat out towards the boundry and either cops bump or falls theres no doubt hes going to get smashed by it. Our fence is not that far way from yours but we dont have he yclone fencing so if a player does go down they can still get away with out hitting it. So your saying because were not star players and our clubs arent stars also we dont deserve some sort of saftey awareness. Tear up mate...words are said from all parts of the ground on and off. If you think you heard something different maybe you should stay in the goal square away from the sidelines.
As for all you can expect from our mob and for this ALLEDGED comment and thats all you can call it as alledged. Im glad that you expect things from our mob. We dont want it any other way. As we dont expect anything less from your mob with your puffy chests and frontrunning charisma. There take that, sticks and stones guys. Follow what ever you want up. If this is because Thornton and his men have the wood over you well then good on OUR MOB at portland.

Good to see the Portland lads and supporters have a couple of drinks after the game and support the club. Once again dissapointed with a certain Portland player/supporter who left the males toilet cubicle in such disgusting manner. pretty classy bunch of blokes!

Dont have a problem copping it from the sidelines from anyone, however runners are on the field to deliver messages to their players from their coach. They have no right to say anything to any opposition players.

Have to agree with you there, the young bloke was horendous. Worst umpiring Ive seen for years, both ways. I thought we got the worst of it early and then SPOC copped a few shockers. I hope that there was an observer there and actually DOES something about it. As for the C grade thats correct, SPOC forgot to bring their gurnseys so there was no other option but for them to forfeit. We waited until 2.30 but still no gurnseys, good win for the boys!
