i think the gums have done well to win as many games as they have this year to... not bad for a team that finished 2nd to bottom last year... i think :?

Cougar, did you know about this?
Is Brett a chance to get the Norwood job?
Without these two (possibly Paul to BD as well) how will Kersbrook go in 2010?

Terrible Gimp.....perhaps we'll have to start having to buy a few blokes like Birdwood.

Roger will live and coach in the Barossa next year, Norwood job who knows, and it would be a brave man suggesting Apples would ever leave Kersbrook. He's in love with Brad Pearce.

I hear a player at Nairne has been confirmed with having swine flu, with the possibility of another player also catching it. Wonder if this will have much effect on Nairne or the competition as a whole?

Doubt it. A Macclesfield player was confirmed as having it and after a couple of weeks he's already been given the all clear.
As has already been said, it's nowhere near as bad as the media sensationalism of it, it mainly affects people who already have other serious health issues.

Gotta admit Cougar, you guys are fortunate, If Scott Burns was back there, I'm sure he'd be able to get some pretty serious players without spending big dollars too.

Maybe the club will have a real close look at their culture and decide if this is the path they want to follow.
Kangys will run them off their feet Sat and that will close the chapter on their final hopes.

Try again my friend. Kangarilla were a rabble yesterday and yes they were missing some key players but I dont think the result would have been any different just a smaller margin. The Kangy boys went the knuckle yesterday which was expected and to our boys credit they held their heads and pointed to the scoreboard. The man Mick Ashby who apparently wasnt going to run out for us again (another premature ejaculation) was sublime with 7 goals on pretty much one leg and Hanna was a class above. We will be playing finals for the first time since 1999 and doesnt it feel good !!! Karma ?? A select few people on this forum have to take a long hard look at themselves.

Just a side note, the big fella is right...... that scoreline is horrible reading, how long can the HFL turn a blind eye to the situation, at both clubs for that matter.

has SJ's enthusiasm and dribble worn off already at maccy? yesterdays loss to the 2nd bottom side would be unacceptable and could see the pressure mount on his tenure there or is he already looking elsewhere?????? ;)

So we might hear from the Terminator sooner rather than later then ??
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

Saw one of his players having a punt at Gepps Cross on Saturday.
I reckon he's probably injured, in fact. I reckon he's probably missed more in his time than he's actually played.

Results like this one do absolutely nothing for the game but they do make a mockery of the league.

Torrens Valley would be feeling pretty chuffed with themselves wouldn't they.

Not only can all their money get them a premiership but can also buy a few records as well.

Not only is it a disgrace for the league to allow this to happen, it has obviously developed into a problem that has got out of control. It is an even bigger disgrace that the Torrens Valley Football Club allow this sort of slaying to happen.
What benefit does a side have in defeating a side by such a large amount? Why not let the kids have a run or at least rest some of the gun players.
I can understand the middle to lower sides wanting to smash Callington to gain percentage which they will miss out on if they don’t keep up with the Jones's, unlike TV who don’t exactly need percentage.
Surely the current batch of TV players would want to be tested as players, unless they prefer to be a big fish in a little pond.
HFL will continue to be the laughing stock of SA Country footy if they can't form some sort of equilibrium between the top and bottom sides.
Are you prepared to pay the price? WILL YOU PAY THE PRICE?

It's A grade football. Torrens Valley shouldn't have to put out anything other than their best side available because their opposition is rubbish. Now obviously Callington are not A Grade standard, but its hardly TV's fault that they are still allowed to play in the A's. So to say the disgrace is on them is uncalled for. As for your comment on the HFL being the laughing stock of SA country footy, I take it you are just refering to the Country Division. If you're talking about the entire league, you just have tall poppy syndrome.
