I was pretty happy with the crowd today, over 8000.
Before hand I thought that the crowd would be in the 7000s so that was a good result IMHO.

Actually it was quite amazing, you had the Grog Squad Hill where chants were coming from as well as the North cheer squad behind the goals that were chanting all day and than at several times during the game both Bradman stands erupted into "ROOSTERS" chants.
It was a great atmosphere and the place would have been blown apart if North had got up.

Maybe I'm a big optimist wedgie I was hoping to see a crowd of about 11,000 so I was a touch dissapointed. Going to the game with the knowledge that they'll be almost a full house for the slowdown I was just hoping there would have been a few more there mate.

By the way mate. Great pics. You've even managed to capture me. Thanks for the shots of the banner as well.

Cool pix Wedgie, don't know how you got one with Vinnie holding the ball.

I Could certainly hear the roosters and you reds chant from the hill, and the roosters chant from the North & South Chappell Stands. This was from where I was sitting in the Bradman Stand.

When North hit the front in the third quarter the crowd was pretty loud and I thought that the noise might inspire North, but it actually seemed to fire up the eagles who then kicked some late goals.
