Highest paying dividend ever seen

Postby silicone skyline » Mon Aug 03, 2009 12:25 am

We've all seen the odd roughie get home, or a real rough trifecta, but does anyone know in terms of a TAB dividend, what the biggest odds were for a horse/trots/dog winner ever paid were?

If not, what's the longest odds shot you've seen steal the prize.

I reckon I saw a dog pay about $50 about two weeks ago, and I've seen the odd $100 shot get home, but surely there's been runners eclipse that mark!!!

Far as horses go off the top of my head, Tamara Zanker got one home in the last at Strath a couple of months back that paid $156 for the win.

My Mum love the punt, and every week backs a roughie for $10 just for a bit of fun. She backed a horse that IIRC was at 81. The damn thing won ! She was stoked.....

Couldn't give details, but I remember being at the pub with my bro after uni one afternoon and saw a horse win a race paying over $250.... amazing!! It was I think over about 1400m and it just bolted from the start and got out by about 40 lengths - was the most unreal thing I've ever seen.... it only walked over the line but still won by about 7 lengths....

I've won $2000 on a mystery tri half-unit.

That's my biggest in one hit.

I also backed Beloka Diamond last year paying $76 and Lets Pardee at Strath at $90 but only had $10 EW on em.

I was at Barmera for the Melbourne Cup last year where the lady picked the first 4. She fluffed the first attempt only getting 13% of the div, so she filled out another one for the other 87%.

The first went through and it came up with some huge figure, she put the second through the machine and it said "Big Pay" and had to take it to Adelaide.

I had a mate who had almost no cash and he put on a mystery trifecta for a $1 and won over $2500.

We were coming home from footy trip one day and stopped at a pub for lunch backed a horse at Vic Park paying $125 got up by a nose had $10 on it. The rider got banned for 13 meets after it. It was a straight race and the horse was on one side of the track but decided it wanted to finish on the other. It didn't impede any other horses but won by the smallest margin. Paid for my footy trip though. I can't even remeber what it was called, have seen it run around a few times afterwards.

I backed a $126/1 shot once on a sunday meet over 900m, and it got up!

I also backed (something) bromac at $90/1 and it got up, it then went on to win the pacers cup at GDP, i had the first 4 but didnt get there in time to place the bet! Missed out on 4k.

Can anyone remember what "......." bromac it was?
