IF YOU followed the money trail this week, the Grand Final has already been decided.

Punters want only Geelong and St Kilda for the big one, with the Cats suddenly back in favour after drifting to as much as $2.70 following some recent bumpy form.

Sportsbet in Darwin was claimed for $20,000 about the Cats as soon as it re-opened its flag market on Sunday night.

"The $2.55 appealed to one punter who clearly believes the Cats are on their way back now we are getting towards the real stuff," Sportsbet's Paul Grant said.

It was more of the same at Sports Alive where Gerard Daffy said punters clearly believed this season was a two-horse race.

"We took a bet of $20,000 on Geelong at $2.65 and now have them into $2.45," he said.

Daffy said although punters had picked the Cats and Saints to play off, there was still a shade of doubt about St Kilda.

"Maybe it's the fear of the unknown. If Geelong had St Kilda's form, they would be a $1.90 chance and in reality the Saints can't be any bigger odds than $2.55," he said.

"And you can get $10 about the rest because nobody has any interest, other than the odd speculative bet on the Hawks."

While the money has been for the Cats for the flag, there has been some support for Adelaide tomorrow at Skilled Stadium, particularly to get within the points, which are about 24.

"The Crows have won eight of their last nine, while Geelong is coming off two losses and a grovelling win against the Hawks and punters think an upset could be on the cards," Sportingbet Australia's Michael Sullivan said.

"We have taken a number of good-sized bets on the Crows at $4 and certainly all the money at the line has been for them, including one bet of $10,000.

"There has also been a very confident bet of $20,000 at $1.35 on the Bombers beating West Coast at Subiaco on Sunday.

"No doubt West Coast were woeful last week, but you have to be happy to take on a side who got beaten by the Tigers, especially when they are $1.35 away from home.

"And you have to go back to 2001 to find the last time they beat the Eagles at this ground."

The one thing that does'nt seem to get mentioned much anymore is (mainly) Victorian teams travelling. The Hawkes have a woeful record at Footy Park & with Port at better than 6/4 that looked pretty good value (no I did'nt). I saw on allthestats that Essendon have only won 2/9 since 2001 & both were v The Dockers.
I'm pretty sure we were all savvy to this travelling stat a while ago.
Hey soccer you owe us 45million.
