because the one from last was not even close to a div1 side

we will get a few back from injury but yes the selection pool is very shallow. i think only 9 players from last yrs Grand Final played last week. Bit like the trouble Hawthorn have experienced this yr with indifferent form and injury except they won the flag!

I knew it was going to be a long day when i saw 5 C graders and 5 U18s playing in the B grade

So was the rumour that was posted last week about players being banned etc true?

Did Motley play on the weekend??

Well Motley did not play and some where MIA so i have no idea whats going on

Big question is will Salisbury North be willing to let there season go down the drain just to make a point to players that that sort of thing (if the story is legit) will not be tolerated. .

Gonna be an intersting few weeks. . hope they get it all sorted after round 17!

Looks like the missing drinks are perhaps going to cost the Hawks a spot in the 5 and maybe a spot in Div 1 in 2010

So where might the "light fingered" drunken footballers turn up next year? Some club with an "open fridge" policy eh!
The guy in the yellow shirt even looks like Motley!!!!!!

Motley hasnt played since we beat Gepps 4 weeks ago. he incured a leg injury that has kept him out, even missing the State Game. No player has missed a game due to the infringement. cant say it hasnt effected the morale of the players but there is a nucleus there put on the park that should ensure we are in Div 1 next yr and still possible of slipping into the 5. this weekend against ROCs at home in front of a past players reunion is the last chance i think.

Does anybody knows of any key forwards who may be looking at having a kick in the country next year? We are pretty keen for a FF and CHF and would obviously be willing to pay a decent remuneration to the right people. We could also offer employment as well if they were keen to move up here. Two hours from town on the Murray. If anybody is interested, PM me.
So you've seen everything have you?

If you find a couple of spares can you send them to us please. Oh and another ruckman about 6'8" wouldn't go astray either.

Pigsy thinks Motley has played his last game in the Hawks colours  and could be a couple of other too.

Gepps are stacked with ruckman aren't they? Everytime i have seen them they have a very tall team.

A few around the ground but no tall ruckman. I think our ruckman are very under sized compared to most other Division 1 teams.

They've only missed two games each so far this season (knock on wood), so they're doing better than their last few years! ;)

It could be their testimonial year next year, but we'll see how they go. The good thing is we have some up-and-coming young lads that are learning heaps from them.

Has there ever been a Div 1 comp where with 3 rounds to go, all sides can still make the top 5 and potentially 5 sides could be relegated?

The Div 2 GF rematch at the Thebby this week will be a cracker!

Yeah this weekend against SHOC is massive for us. After loosing by a point at home to SHOC last time the boys are keen to make up for their poor performance. Modbury coming off a good hard team effort against Gaza and SHOC coming off a solid win against SNth it should be a cracker.

Any particular reason that SHOC's have chosen to play this game at Thebby?
