As a WOS person involved with the side I can tell you that we have never spoken about moving the game. Its Smithies game and they should be able to host it and actually having never gone there before I am looking forward to it. I get the feeling the writer for the Budget may have a hidden agenda ( may be a Blacks official and trying to fire up smithies ) I hope thiss is not the case would show a lack of class. Go Plympton !!!! ha ha ha

That was in Footy Budget not the footy mag. Good article Zed.

Good for you blokes that is. Hear that a development of St Marys is not
far away either. Might be a good time for League to look at the idea

Good for Kenilworth and Salisbury and they are not D1 clubs either if
that should take off.

Cant say i disagree, i mean gf's at thebby for div1 and 2, say a league oval (norwood or alberton) for d3, kenilworth for d4, salisbury for d5, campbelltown for d6 and kilburn for d7. if these teams compete in the gf, or 2 south teams at a northern venue for example, then obviously re structure, but these are all good grounds, and it gives the chance for suburban clubs with good facilities to make some cash rather than the amateur league, and all the ovals provide good facilities for both players and supporters alike to enjoy a big game.

yeah valleys i think it has merit..we want the best games played on the best ovals we can offer..certainly with the proposed upgrades coming to st marys within 2 years it will be nearly the best oval and complex getting around..nice work by the moustached one at footy budget hq..

our lads have played a 2nd semi and a gf at salisbury which has great facilities. st marys just as good although it would be a long day if it was warmer as often happens in finals.

We found campbelltown to be a good venue. The surface was great (aided by a superb day), and the bar and bbq facilities were excellent.

I haven't read the article yet, but it definitely sounds good to us, the club loves showcasing the ground and facilities to the rest of the league who don't come to our place all that often. We make sure there's a BBQ and bar on both sides of the ground, plus the bar and canteen in the clubrooms. Grandstand, good surface, plenty of room for parking, we are very lucky to have the facilities we do.

Obviously Salisbury, Campbelltown, St Marys and Kilburn will have a game based on the locations of the competing clubs. Pulteney v Plympton for example this year in Div 5 obviously wouldn't be at Salisbury. But the club is stoked with any games we do get and hopes to make sure everyone enjoys watching games at the ground.
