The umpire that booked him gave us two yellow cards and a red, in the space of about ten minutes, to three different players.
SW have been a very dicsipline this year but that particular umpire was hot on any of our players.
He stated to one of our players to go easy on the tackling???

All deserved it tho. Newchurch punched a bloke in the head 3 or 4 times, and other 2 blokes were sent off for elbowing and kneeing. Can say what you want about the umpires mate, players make decisions... and some of your blokes unfortunately still don't have the discipline to make correct decision when things aren't going their way.

Having said that, you beat us convincingly in the 2nd half and are a better side than us... didn't need the undisciplined acts of stupidity. Bet coach is impressed his key forward is missing a final for belting someone from 9th placed team!

Golden Grove v Sailsbury West by 5 pts Kooka's finals hopes to end against the Tigers who are still pushing Top 3.
Greenacres v Pooraka by 5 pts Dragons have home ground advantage but the Bulls need to win if they to play finals this year.
Unley v North Haven by 5 pts Magpies will fight it out but the Jets will be too good at home.
CBCOC v Adelaide Lutheran by 55 pts Doggies had a tough year & it will continue when they visit the Dolphins.
Fitzroy v PAOC by 5 pts Match Of The Round will see the Red's who want to bring out their best when they take on the Lions as the winner will grab second spot & a home final.

Plenty at stake this weekend with the Kooka's & Dragons ready to take full advantage of any slip up's.

Incosistency is the issue. In the last 1/4 one of your blokes elbowed a 16yr old kid in the head. The umpire saw it and penalised your player with a free kick and a fifty mtr penalty. my argument is, if that was a SW player he would be reported.

However, you do have a point about some of our blokes decisions when things arent going our way.

Same tips for me...
I love grapes. With grapes, you always get another chance. You know, if you have a crappy apple or a peach, you’re stuck with that crappy piece of fruit. If you have a crappy grape, no problem-just move on to the next. ‘Grapes: The Fruit of Hope.

What a final round of football we are in store for! 3 teams on 10 wins with Golden Grove on 9 wins but superior percentage to Pooraka. Absolutely ridiculous posabilities of where some teams may finish.
3 interesting games:
Pooraka V Fitzroy
North Haven V GG
Salisbury West V CBC

You would think GG would get over NH, and you would also think CBC would knock of Salisbury West. That means it will come down to the Pooraka Fitzroy game. If Pooraka win they would finish third. If they lose they will miss the finals in 6th.

On todays game at Greenacres I thought we finally woken up from our slumber. Two big inclusions this week with Coles back after missing 5 and Paradiso back after missing 2. Coles kicked 4 and Paradiso Best on ground. Made a huge difference to us and hopefully we can take this winning form further in the next few weeks.
Would like to mention the sensational hospitality that Greenacres showed after the game. Were invited back for a drink by a few of the Greenies officials and they even put on free jugs for us. Awesome effort Greenacres :D

If you blokes FF have got a full quota you should knock off the Roys, leaving GG just short after being early pre season contenders on the forum

Which just goes to show that alot of p155 and wind is sprouted on here doesn't it !!! ;)
Good effort by the Burra's to knock off The Tigers on the weekend and keep the small glimmer of finals hopes alive in what has been a tough year for us so far but a year where we have definitely learnt a helluva lot in. The step up to Division 4 was tougher than we expected no doubt about it (despite the preseason hype about us...) but the lads haven't stopped giving their all and will try for a win against Haven's next weekend and hope other results go our way.
