Runner definately said something to him, the bloke had just given away two 25 mtr penalties and was being dragged. Who wouldn't have said something.

FFS, if you went around kicking every person who said something you didnt like on a footy field, you would have extremely sore feet !!!

It was actually pretty funny to watch. Funny to see our runner trip over, but even funnier to see a Scotch bloke have a brain snap, and sh!t himself that he might have to face up to his actions !!!

wasnt there Fist. I would say no if he " kicked " him. If he ankle tapped him because the runner was a David Arnfield impersonator well I will bite my tongue

I dont think kicking is a good thing and i wouldnt have done it myself. If the runner was testing number 10 for a response he sure got it! Just think its a little weird that in the last 3 weeks there have been 2 seperate incidents involving the same runner. The first incident being at mitcham, where the player just ignored the comments, And now this. You have 18 players on the field, and they're free to do as much heckelling as they want. The runner should be on the field to deliver messages to the portland lads. If the runner decides to make comments to opposition players, the opposition player should be able to retaliate, however kicking... wouldn't be my choice of response. I'm just saying if the runner is going to dish it out on the field, he should be prepared to cop it back on the field. Number 10 probably deserves a game or 2, the fact that it was the runner involved shouldn't mean sh#t, cos the runner obviously instigated it, and if the runner doesn't learn from it, it will happen time after time.

There was more to it then an ankle tap, he kicked him with a bit of force from what i seen!!
it also wouldnt have mattered if he kicked the bloke in the shins like a 4yr would
kicking is about as gutless as spitting on a bloke!!!

Normally i wouldnt condone kicking someone on the football field, but since it happened to someone from Portland i think its pretty funny.

Should our coach have kicked your coach for being a d!psh!t after our game ? Think about it...

Player in question did retreat very quickly to the safety of bench when he realised he may have bitten off more than he could chew...

All history now anyway, we wont be taking it any further. More important things to worry about than that.

HAHAHAHA. spot on, no excuse. I wonder if Thornton agrees though? I believe the big man himself had a visit to the tribunal last year for punching the 17 year old full back from Unley, and then landing a boot in to the kid while he was down!

The runner may say some things to players, right or wrong almost every runner does it IMO
Im sure he would be prepared to cop just as much back from the players! not to be kicked while running off the ground though
10 deserves more then 1 or 2 games!!

Be very careful Hardy Hit, accusing blokes of things like that. Especially when they are fabricated. I will PM you the big fellas details and you can ask him yourself if you like.

Whats your fascination with Thornton anyway ? Perhaps if your coach paid more attention to other things, it would hold your club in much better stead. Havent we been down this road before ? You blokes should get over this whole sour grapes thing, you fluked it into the GF anyway....

Relieved more like it...

Im sure you had 4 blokes lined up to stand him again. Not sure if anyone has ever kicked 4 goals in a GF before...with 4 opponents standing him AT ONCE !!!

You Portland boys love to talk about how tough "Big Andy Thornton" is. He'll do this and he'll do that. Dont mess with Andy Thornton. He's done a very good job coaching this year.
