We are a shot, but there's not a lot of difference between the top four. It will be a dog fight to the GF.

It's as good (or bad, we did finish last ;) ). Almost everyone ended up sticking around, we managed to fill the gap left by Starry, and Sam Taylor has stepped up to the plate to fill in for the injured Dow. And everyone has taken to Rexy like a duck to water, which has been pivotal.

We would have been scarily good this year if Starry and Dow had played, but hopefully they'll be back next year. There are two or three other names I'd like to see playing footy again who had the year off, one of them has just recently come back out and will qualify for finals this week.

Is starry looking at coming back next year or is he set at greenies?

He hasn't played for Greenies for a couple of months. I doubt he will be out there next year, he will probably either play for us or he won't play at all.

Big game for the crabs on saturday, We are having Past players, Ladies and Sponsors day, sure to bring out a crowd, and lot of drunken abuse from the sidelines, But more importantly we are playing for a finals spot so hopefullly we can get over the line.

And once finals comes hopefully we can cause some havoc and cause a couple of upsets, if i remember correctly Houghton made the GF in 2006 from finishing in 4th or 5th place on the ladder, so who knows what will happen.

Unfortunately this is true. Tough decision for ben and myself to make. Not something we wanted, that's for sure. Apologies to the Athelstone D grade.

Between injuries, players working and guys not giving a sh!t, we couldn't get the numbers required to fill 2 teams.

Yeah disappointing day yesterday for Nth Pines. After forfeiting the B grade Thursday night we had a very undermanned A grade team which reflected the scoreboard. Why dont you get of Mooreys case has been a very handy player for us over the entire season. Spent alot of the second half of the year in the back lines and also played both A and B grade some weeks to help out. No need to come on here and start bagging people who are out there playing and giving it there all. I suggest you keep your sly remarks to yourself in the future

Im pretty sure that they had to have played a certain amout of games in the C or D grade teams to be eligible to play finals.
