  Hmmm, so every HFL Country Div club that has played Gumeracha this year has antagonised them to the point that most of them get sent off?? Any truth that the Gums Coach is banned from coaching in Amateur League? I wonder what for

With all due respect to some posters your recent posts have been nothing short of disgraceful. Let me be the first to say what SOME (not all as you would lead us to believe) of our players did was embarassing and it was something that hurt me as a Gumeracha person through and through. But NSP has a point, it was the stupid niggly garbage that has no place in football that started it all...... 3 players just reacted appaulingly to stuff that Kersy have been dishing up for years. As for Thommo, he appeared to be standing up for our players who were being continually abused by certain elder statesmen from over the hill who are supposed to be well respected. Our players have been reasonably well behaved for the most part this season, certainly "most" of our players havent been sent off..... Saturday let us down in a big way but its a bit rich for someone from Kersbrook having a crack for ill-discipline.

Also what gives umpires the right to take hold of our players during a game. A Kersy player, who shall remain unnamed, elbows, strangles and punches one of our players and it was our bloke who gets hammered by the Ump and forcibly dragged away by an umpire. What wouldve happened if the roles were reversed ?? The player in question would be lucky to play again but nothing will happen to the umpires.

Again I will re-iterate that the IMO 2 out of the 3 players that were sent off for us on Saturday (and the 1 from Kersy who was lucky to be there anyway) deserved to be so but its our clubs "image" that rightly or wrongly saw the umpires make huge mistakes that couldve seen all these situations avoid

Ill-Discipline Kersbrook?? :? :? Well Shortman tell me how many cards have been dished out to the obviously 'Picked on' Gumeracha players in 2009?? Kersbrook's 'A' grade received it's FIRST yellow card for the season on Saturday, and NO 'A' grade player has had to go to HFL Headquaters on Wednesday night. Think Brett James has his blokes perhaps a fraction more disciplined than Thommo. And again is Thommo banned from the Amateurs, hence why he is at Gums??

Hang on, wasnt Tappy suspended a couple of weeks ago or was he playing B's ?? From my point of view several Kersy players went onto the field Saturday with the sole aim to start fights...... it was just a pity a a select few of our boys got sucked in, which you probably would to if you were being continually abused by the opposition and the players who brought tactics akin to Richmond on the weekend. And ill bet that some of those same people will turn up on Sunday to do the same thing to our blokes.

As for our boys all being feral, those 3 players on Saturday were the first 3 players of the year to get done, and I do believe there has been a couple of yellows handed out, to the one of the players who was sent off on the weekend. Again ill say it, what our boys did was stupid and somewhat embarassing, but its far from the 'feral' behaviour some people are saying. There are a select few who continually do stupid things, and it doesnt make me proud to be a Gummer when I see it.

So why are these select few still allowed to put on a Gummeracha guernesy?

That I cant answer.

One of the boys sent off on the weekend has been our best player all season IMO and one of the most disciplined so for him to react that way something had to, and did happen prior to. The others, I dont think are bad blokes as such but something happens to them when they walk onto the field. Good players, but they do some very silly things that dont belong on the field IMO.

Must be a pity for the die hard Gummers.
At least 3 of the B-Graders might get to play another week though!

Yeah it was, I wasnt having a crack at individuals as such. Funnily enough though, most of our players involved in onfield troubles arent even from EP

I'll have a word to Beef about this for ya Shortman. Sending out the Kersbrook blokes to start fights with Gumeracha is 'Not on'. I'm sure that's the only way Kersbrook could beat Gumeracha and have been doing it for the last 20 years. =)) =))

Not at all and thats not what I said. Im sure Beefy wouldnt have sent out the instructions and it would be stupid to think so but SOME players it appeared had this in their own minds, knowing that some of our guys are more than willing to join in.

People are always going to take their own points of view on what happened Saturday, you have yours and I have mine. Again ill say it so you might be able to understand..... Our players deserved what they got on the weekend and theres no question of that, its just a shame that youre so one eyed you cant see any other view than your own.

Yeh strange to see cougar so loyal when Kersys de-listed him, gave hime his marching orders and told him that he was not a required player last year ;)

Keep it Real, Keepitreal. Kersbrook can't afford to delist anyone. Not even the short stocky barrel chested Back Pocket Player that couldn't hold a chest mark for the Brookers back in 2001. ;)

Wouldnt imagine so. We would have to win on Sunday which I still think is entirely possible but then Kersy would either have to lose Saturday then play us OR we win Sunday and then beat Echunga the following week so its unlikely. The closest we'll get to them is playing on their home turf Sunday.

Heard James refer to your game playing style as similar to Blondie's album Parallel Lines as you never ran at or through the contest, but always turned parallel rather than risk any physical contact.

so what happens now with Torrens Valley. I'm told the Clubs overwhelmingly voted to keep them down in Country Division for 2010.

Will they move to BL&G ? If they don't, I think a few players may seek a bigger challenge elsewhere.
