Fitzroy take on Salisbury West at Fitzroy oval.

Congratulations to CBCOC for finishing minor premiers and commiserations to Golden Grove for just missing the finals.

Good luck to all teams involved in the finals!

Also I think you will find LM and myself have tied for this years Div 4 tipping! Bad kicking by Unley has allowed LM to get the final game of the year correct. What about the comp you were running Jimmy? The one with what teams will finish where etc?

I'm a fair peanut then, I thought you had Lutheran aswell, if I had of known that, I would've backed you guys at home, oh well, we'll have to just split the winnings.

Wonder how much it cost Greenacres JUST to stay in A4
Couple of their senior players might have to take a hefty paycut next year just to stay there

Interested to know what everyone's feel is about the first round of finals this week, both in the A's and B's. I'm not 100% sure what the games are and where they will be played but I'm keen to know what your thoughts are.

From my perspective I think we may be up against Pooraka in the B's which wont be easy. We beat them at home earlier in the year and they easily beat us at Pooraka a month ago so I think it will be fairly close. We don't have any of our A graders who qualify so will go in with our regular B grade side. We were very poor against them a month ago, despite the scoreboard showing we were close so we will need to lift a fair bit. They were better skilled, disciplined and harder at the ball so if we can lift in those areas we are a good chance.

Also keen to hear some reports on the seasons of the teams that missed the finals and where they think they can improve...

Well it looks like no Kuhndt's gunna win the medal this year. ( I still like C. Adams from Pooraka )

My Tips this week from what I have seen this year:

For Fitzroy v Salisbury West. I think that home ground advantage might be too much for Westies to overcome. Fitzroy seem very reliant on a couple of gun players....Bourke and Buss. Stop these two and Westies can win. But I reckon Fitzroy by 27.

PAOC will beat Pooraka in a very tight one. I think PAOC have a quality even side without a weak link but Pooraka's best can be outstanding. Feel this could go either way....so PAOC by 12 points.

Whatever happens CBCOC are the hunted and the team to beat. Good luck to all teams this weekend.

Fitzroy v Salisbury West. Roys and Westies both play a chip and run game with a high i think a few will rack up some serious supercoach points.. Westies r a very skilled unit but lack the defensive qualities. I think home ground as well will be a big factor with the club having its end of year shows in a marquee on the other side of the mt. I wont be shocked at all if Westies get up though.

PAOC v Pooraka. PAC will be hoping they dont get the Barton blues again and carry any scars from last years finals and which Pooraka will rock up on saturday? But u just cant go past PACOC. Hopefully they knock the suitcases out of each other ;) .

I think its an open race just cant wait to taste finals action at Dolphin park. Goodluck to everyone this week.

Tips for Div 4 medal. Lets nominate people from other clubs.

Burke Roys
