Hey, that's what the AFL wants, prime viewing of our 18s talent at a reasonable time. ;)

Problem is most of the under 18s that may get drafted are playing league or reserves this time of the season

The u18s v South was at 8.30 before the reserves on the weekend just past.

Very True Mighty Eagles those of us who enjoy the seconds enjoyed seeing half an U18's game. This week those of us who enjoy the seconds will need to be at the ground before 8.30 am to watch the entire game.
And yes I am addicted to the WWTFC .

I must add to Phil H's post - his work (with the other members of our subcommittee) has been terrific and i believe the results are starting to show.

Phil will be our Ringmaster on Sunday - apparently I'm a marshall for the kids parade so will be well away from getting any of the donuts - might have to mug a kid to get a show bag !!!!!!

Also members do read Duane's blog on our website and then catch up with him at the game - he loves to receive your info to add to his articles each week.

Lets get a good crowd at our last home game for 2009 and boost our figures a little more!

Also Salter has been named for the Power. Passador would be the logical replacement for him i would've thought.

The Bloods will be very happy to have Dangerfield this week, but sadly for Steve Morris, he's gone for the year with the knee.

A little piece from the Messenger website on Steve and his positive mindset in terms of coming back...

WEST Adelaide defender Steven Morris has vowed to return stronger than ever after snapping his anterior cruciate ligament last Saturday.

Morris, 20, who is back in Melbourne with family while waiting to have knee surgery, hopes to return mi-way through next season.

``I’m a pretty motivated person. It’s just a bit of a setback,’’ Morris said.

``I’ll definitely get back on the park by mid-way through next season and the way we’re going that will mean I’ll be getting ready to be part of a finals run.’’

Morris, who joined West from TAC Cup side Western Jets at the start of last season, has been a revelation in the Bloods’ backline in recent months, adding a hard edge to the side.

``I was really disappointed with my first half of the year but the past six games I’ve started to play some good footy,’’ he said.

He plans to come back to SA straight after having surgery, to watch the Bloods’ final minor round clash with Glenelg.

``I might not be able to fly straight away so I might have to talk Dad (Kevin) in to driving me back.

``I want to get back as soon as I can but I have to wait a couple of weeks to have the surgery while the swelling goes down.’’

Bloods coach Andy Collins said Morris’ injury had come at a bad time for his side.

``When we lose our best young talent we probably don’t have the depth to cover that,’’ Collins said.

``It was really sad to lose Stevie Morris after the breakthrough season that he’s having.’’
