You could tell at the Magarey Medal night he wasn't going to play. He didn't look a happy camper.

Looks like the Eagles have found the key to winning a GF.

Bzzt wrong, O'Hara's last game this year was for a premiship team.
Next guess.......
(And no, it wasn't getting rid of Glenelg's choking reserves from GF day or having the Holden's choke on their biggest day ever)

Although North won the 2's (and well done on a great win) O'Hara didn't play today.

Maybe the key to winning a GF against Central is have your captain out. Wasn't Chris Threadgold captain of Sturt when he missed out in 2002?

I wonder whether Adam Grocke is devastated tonight? Could have played in North's reserves flag but threw it all away for a league premiership medal with another club. Clint who? :D

That was an interesting one LL. Threadgold was a victim of history. When Brenton Phillips was coaching Adelaide University in 2001, he played the Uni captain when there was an injury cloud over him. The captain didn't play well, and they lost.

Apparently Threadgold was telling Phillips he was fit to play, but Phillips wouldn't play him because of what happened the year before.

Adamn Grocke showed both Jarman and Williams today was not good enough to play in norths 2's and helps win a flag for the EAGLES !!!!!!!!
Cooper sent packing from cellar dweller sturt !!! The only player to beat Centrals twice in a grandfinal ,no wonder sturt are bottom.

Poor gavin he is the heart of wwt they won it for him and us long suffering fans !!!!!!!!

Bzzt wrong, he still wouldn't have got a game with North this year.
He and the Eagles were a good match, the Eagles needed a big body at CHF who would give an honest go to compliment their forward lines.
If he was playing for North's ressies todays McEntee would have overshadowed him with his 7 goals.
Good luck to Grocke's and the Eagles (Grocke's is a top lad and his mum is a lovely lady).

The Eagles won it on the ball today, pure and simple.
Cicolella was BOG for my mind with Skipworth not far behind him.
If you want to put things into perspective, Daniel Ebert got twice as many Magarey Medal votes as Adam Grocke and played less games!

The biggest question of the day is how/why are Eagles supporters sitting in front of their PC on a night like tonight?
I couldn't imagine getting near one for 2 weeks if North won.

A I dont drink
B the missus had a function and I had to make sure my teenager daughter was home safe and sound .
And it doesnt matter I was at footy park I watched my eagles win win win !!!!!!!! This makes all the crap as a WWT fan I have taken worthwhile and the back feels better no more monkey onit
WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOO

Looking back on the game when Grocke was taken from the ground for giving away a shot at our goal he actually got a hell of a lot better .
You could be right about your two's Wedgie ,but its funny when players leave one club due to the fact they are not good enough and end up winning a flag .

I think cica got the eagles going early and IMHO should have won the medal ,my lad thought skippy was bog .So it doesnt matter we won the damn flag wohooooooooooo
