5rph: Bring back the biff??

Postby Rik E Boy » Sun Oct 08, 2006 6:36 pm

"I hope the fans in the outer behave themselves"

"The Dogs are kicking to the opposite end to the Eagles cheer squad"

Is the team suggesting that Dogs' fans might go the knuckle??? :-k

regards,

I thought the 5RPH commentary team were going to have a fight themselves at one stage until Denis Brown stepped in and started calling the game :)

Christ, I wont tell you how many people I saw kicked out in the first quarter alone (and who they barracked for) when I went out for a smoke and beer outside the gates.
There didn't seem to be anything serious though, seemed mainly an underage drinking issue and one kid got evicted for throwing a bottle top of all things in the second quarter.

he he, it was one of those platic ones from a plastic coke bottle.
Funniest thing was when he owned up to the cop, he said "but its only a coke bottle top, it couldn't do any harm".
And the female cop came back with that famous line of all mothers "yes, but it could do some damage if it hit someone in the eye"
Poor kid, was pooping his pants, all of about 13.

I doubt if it was anything serious, but the two commentators who were on with Denis Brown started having an argument about the number of Eagles supporters who would have stayed home and missed the final. They started to get heated and almost forgot there was a game going on. DB hopped in and started calling the game over the top of them. As I said, I doubt if it was anything serious, but they weren't happy with each other for a short time there.

Hmmmm security....

At one stage I asked a security guy if WESLO was an abbreviation of WE'RE SLOW.

I don't think he understood what I meant by the word abbreviation.

Weslo are dicks. Pretend cops for hire and too worried about people standing behind the yellow lines.

Half of 'em fill stationery cabinets or empty garbage bins during the week and are henpecked at home. On the weekend they get to put on their Weslo uniforms and feel special for a few hours. "Saturday Heroes".

The question is do they ban these things during the regular season ... If not, why change the goalposts for the last game?

Believe it or not - I've actually seen a brawl started by one of those horns!
Way back in the early 90s at a CDFA under 17s GF an Elizabeth supporter blew one, a Salisbury player who'd been on the losing side took umbrage and attacked the kid and it was all on from there. I happened to be in the middle of this - congratulating an Elizabeth mate before the blue started - and let me tell you, for a 14 year old, it was scary that blue.

I've got photos of it too - my dad was taking photos from the boundary line.

So Sam, they were right to take it away from you! ;)

I would love to have a look as well. We were stiched up that day . It wasn't as if we just got beat in a close one. Then the Great Dave Couzner took matters into his own hands..
