Forward.... a few things:
1/ We owe NO money to last years coach...End of story
2/ Yeah, just like a lot of clubs we find it difficult to find off field support. We do however have a core group of people who have the club at heart and year in year out do whatever they can. Once we have a coach on board we can then start to fill off field positions and look to next year.
3/ We WILL bounce back in 2010.

I wish you the best of luck, and look forward to that day
All i am saying is, OFF field is the more impotant thing
Kilburns strength was their off field in the glory days and i for one was envious off it
To appoint a coach and then look for the off field support managment to me is back the front]
But good luck in your endeavours
forward

Benschy is a gun. Had a ball playing against him earlier this year in a trial. Great bloke too. How old is he Bandar ?

He's over 30 he won the DIV 1 medal in 2002. He came to us in 1997 from memory and had played at Burnside Kensington before that. Cracking bloke is the nugget and been great value for the youngsters in the 2s. He played A's in round 18 this year hope it didn't cost him not that he would care.

I only played in the trial as we were short that day, but playing against him made me want to don the boots again fulltime - his whole attitude on the field made me remember all the things i missed, he was no-nonsense and looked like he was having a ball.

Unfortunately, i was getting my ambitions mixed up with my capabilities...i was still sore about 4 weeks after that game !!!

The Bensch first played for PHOSC in 1995, last year under Brad Ryan.
Went to Port Elliott in 2000 & missed first Div 1 flag.
Returned in 2001 & played in 2002 GF & won the Div 1 medal.
Left in 2004 back to Blackwood his original club & went back to Phantom land in 2007.
Would be 36 or 37 & looking as fit as ever

Great work Selion I forgot he came to us when the Cloth was around I always link him up with when Naishy came but he was there earlier. So it was Blackwood then Burnside etc. I think he spent some time in the juniors at Sturt as well.

Yep Bandar the Bensch may have even snuck in a league game at Sturt, at least a preseason game, but I stand to be corrected on that. I think it was Blackwood, Sturt, Burnside Kensington & then PHOSC.
Naish came in 98 or 99 I think.

I think the Naish played our first season of DIV 1 in 97.

Have heard that Simon Tregenza was contacted by the Adelaide University Football club on Wednesday morning and advised he is no longer required as coach for 2010. The reasons that he was given was that he had lost the confidence of the senior playing group and that finishing 5th in 2009, the same as the club finished in 2008, was not good enough for Adelaide University.
