Spot on WEDGIE i reckon around 7,000 freebie parasites were there lol.

If that was the case next year the SANFL should make it free entry for everyone .

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF !!!!
SANFL 2000 - 2011 Central District 12 consecutive Grand Final appearances and 9 Premierships.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFF.

Hit em hard let them get up and hit em again.

Aerie wrote:Why not just make the admission $8 all year for every game including the GF. They advertise this heavily during the season and with all the free tickets given out anyway, it's not like they would be looking to make huge profits out of the games.

$9 for finals and $22 for the Grand Finals is still good value, but I bet many people who are looking for something to do will prefer to pay $14 to go watch the movies or something, and it's these type of people that will increase the attendance unless two of Port, Norwood or Central are playing in the Grand Final.

I think the SANFL needs to look at its pricing policy car parking at ADELAIDE oval was $4 or $4.50 at footy park yesterday it was $8 nearly died when I saw that .

I thought the crowd yesterday was smaller than in past years and as I posted was surprised at the number of Eagles flags during the third quarter .
but we all know my beloved Eagles dont have huge numbers of fans BUT there were so many young ones this could change in the future .
There were heaps of doggies fans (as we knew there would be)plenty were lined up waiting at the bus stops !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Even though the crowd was only 25,000 I must say it was a fantastic atmosphere, I think both supporters of both clubs did a hell of a job in making noise, I hope I caught a few of those moments on camera before I left at half time.
Well done Eagles and Doggies fans.
Was it just my imagination or did there seem to be a lot more Eagles fans there this year than the past couple?

That could be a good reason MT, saw some large centrals wanker in his 20's or 30's trying to harass a small eagles kid .Kid was waving his eagles flag centrals lout was screaming you dogs drapped in his dogs flag in the little kids face  Little kid didnt miss a beat kept waving that flag !!

Yes the Centrals fans did chant all day it just got lower and lower and lower :D And Joe Peddler on AA siad it was nice to HEAR the EAGLES fans yesterday !!
And dont get me wrong a good amount of doggies fans stayed but a hell of a lot of them left they kept walking past me !!!

Rubbish!

I went yesterday, (3 Port supporters) as I think we should support SANFL's biggest day, borrowed SANFL members tickets. Had a good time, but I think the SANFL need to put alot more effort into promotion and entertainment.

Not really sure why they let balloons go for all the SANFL clubs go for, I think that should be reserved for the right of the competing teams.

Actually, as insignificant as it seems I think that is a very good point and I agree with you.

Crap it would have. Their facilities struggle with 5000 people.

1x from Category 2 SANFL member (West supporter- didn't need it), 2x Glenelg FC (work is a sponsor), 2x via contact at SANFL, 3x kids from school footy. All used by regular attenders, except 1.

I agree, I don't see the real obsession with having the GF at AO. I love the oval but the facilities are poor and could not cope with anything over 10,000.

Better let Ken Gannon @ the VFL know about the crowd

ditto

as for the crowd does it matter if they're freebies or not ? a bigger crowd looks good on tv for those that'll watch it on abc2 this week & the atmosphere at the ground was great as for the carpark why not do what i do 'i'm going shopping' go into the centre buy a wendys (hot dog & thickshake) & then go to the footy save $8.00 & you get change out of that $8.00 from wendys

Wedgie, not all in members stand get in for free - can buy one guest pass per ticket.

Crowd was a little disappointing, but suppose thinkgs like middle of school holidays, not long weekend (ie footy trips) may have hurt.

Probably seemed like more Eagles fans coz we actually had something to cheer about!!
