Mate, I'm not a certainty to be in the A's at the moment. I had tonsillitis pretty bad and played A's off the bench (what the coach likes to call an impact player) 2 weeks ago and B's on the weekend.

If I am playing A's I will be there from before the B grade start and if I'm playing B's I will be there until after the A's finish. You heading down?

Yeah mate ill be there for the b grade, wont hang around for the a's tho. If you play a's let me know where you'll be and ill put a face to the name!

Won't any team that doesn't finish 1st be disappointed?

i thought they have a decent chance given the conditions on saturday.
they did knock off westminster twice, pulteney once and plympton once so i think they were most likely to get through given they had some confidence against the top sides.

and no doubt thought they were a huge show early in the last kicked the 1st 3 goals then we controlled play. Awesome effort from a young side.

interesting sprint..i got burned first round of the finals picking wos..do i give them another go?..will weight of expectations and monkeys be to much for plympton?..they have the good recent form so the red dogs should win but as in horse racing ..the weight you carry brings you back to the field..im picking a draw after full time and then its anybodys :)

You'd go either side under 15.5 points in this one surely!

The Prelim Monkey that plympton has created over the past few years, will it be dancing on their back's at 5:00pm saturday afternoon??

Different coach, a host of different players from last year wont have played in those prelims, so i dont reckon it will phase them, and i don't think the aura of WOS matches what Greenacres and Fitzroy had in previous years, no disrespect to WOS.

I'll take Plympton by 2g in a boring uneventful match up until the last quarter.

i've seen plympton twice recently. they are a disciplined side but can they kick a big enough score. they were gallant last saturday but in the end they got beaten by a team that played the conditions a little better particularly in the last 30-40 minutes of the game. i also think st marys is too big to chip the ball around in defence to creat an opportunity down the ground. obviously they did the job in the QF so they'd ahve confidence from that.
memories of rd 14 against westminster still sting. the only time we lost by more than 3 goals this year was that day and they just drove us into the ground. they will be confident and i think they have more damaging players if enough of them can get going together.
plympton deserve a crack at div 4 in my view. they've been at the top of div 5 for four years that i know of.
this game will be worth the drive i reckon.

Plympton have had a resaonable amount of games where they have had 8 or more goal kickers, which is a healthy sign. While Jim Smith is a focal point he's been double teamed all year, so its not exactly going to come as a big surprise to have to look for other avenues to goal.

I don't know if scoring goals is going to be an issue, or THE issue that wins or loses them the game.

All games are won or lost in the middle and last time we were smashed there so thats one area we will nedd to work on. the other is the Big guy dropping into the hole in the fwd 50 thats where we will need to improve . Simply if Plympton play that well again and we play that bad its a Pultney and plympton GF.No question. this monkey on the back is all rubbish.

I actually think the game will be a blow out

Don't know about a blow out, but i don't think the game will be "a spectacle" as such... Low scoring, kick to kick, 2-3 goal margin in a low scoring game. Tired legs from Morgan Oval won't be an issue, its not like they ran the boston marathon on the oval...

Plympton's midfield is good, the few games they've lost the midlfield has been sluggish and soft. the game against Blackfriars at Plympton when they drew was a prime example.

WOs also have a good midfield, first 5 minutes will decide who's going to be chasing who.
