I probably drink more Corona than anything else these days

Ive always preferred the darker beers other than on a very hot day when a Corona or cold lager or two hits the spot

The Earl of Aberdeen served an Aberdeen Scotch Ale which apparently is now Coopers Dark Ale but I disagree. It is more like Coopers Vintage. I tried Coopers Vintage for the first time at the airport a month ago - very impressed

In recent months I've (in the main) put the Pale Ale aside for Low Carb beer .. I'd never really been into them, but somehow I stumbled onto the Carlton Platinum Blonde and have been addicted ever since.

Correct as long as it's this one....

The Horny Blonde is magnificent too I might add....

Haven't tried the Stout yet.

Any Burra lads here ? This stuff is seriously good.

Bought a six pack of the Horny Blonde on the weekend but just didn't rate it at all...

Low on carbs and even lower on taste...

Will give the Pale and Stout a go though...

Tried the new Coopers Clear tonight and found two quite distinct flavours in the after taste, with the first bing a really fruit/banana taste. This made my eybrows raise, but this was passed and a more malty taste followed.
All in all thought it was quite nice....HATE the packaging though - it looks like a cheap beer from Texas

Sorry mate but West End is pretty average. They make one in every state. Up here it is XXXX Gold and it tastes the same.

Will you blokes cut out these kind of threads. I'm very easily led astray.
Best beers - I have to go to the fridge.
Ice creams - I have to go to the freezer.
New burgers - I have to go to the take-away.
Chocolates - I have to go to the pantry.
Whatever you mention, I just have to have some.
For god's sake don't start a thread on menstruation.
One excuse in the family is enough and I'm starting to doubt it lasts for 30 days !

Well I had solid crack* at the Coopers Clear last night and can say it is very nice, like all Coopers' products.

Like all low carb dry beers the first two or three were a little rough but they are very crisp and again like all dry's should be consumed ice cold IMO.

7/10

As a barman for 20years i have had the chance to taste just about every beer ever created.
My top 5:
1. James Boag Premium. Not voted worlds best beer twice for no reason
2. Heineken. Ice cold.
3. Little Creatures
4. Newcastle Brown Ale
5. Melbourne Bitter Cans. For the upperclass bogan ;)

Agree Pag - you can put lime in it as well and it is like a Corona

I bought one to try, but it didn't inspire me to buy any more.
It isn't up to Corona in my opinion, and my fridge is still stocking Peroni [Nastro Azzuro] until I can get some Dortmunder DB.
[Asahi DB is also nice.].
