BUT the match was pretty good, obviously skills not too flash but that's to be expected. i thought Houghton put it right up to Henley and even if they had some of their B grade dropped into the side it didn't show.
i reckon Henley Houghton GF and with the 4 blokes back in for Houghton and a dry day we could see them prevail in the GF... gotta get past the Raggies this week though, which they should at home (if they play at home...) Naylor had clean shorts which suggests to me he is a dry weather player and can't get the footy in those conditions.

this may be a tad harsh, from what i saw the delivery to him was poor, you can only be as gd as the delivery.
houghton at home is now a huge task for the raggies, how will the oval hold up??

i understand that, but a good FF needs to have another dimension to his game, Naylor is great when it is given to him on a platter but Saturday showed me that he can't get the pill unless it's lace out... hence the clean shorts...

from an outsider looking into this division i think st pauls have had an ordinary year from last year due to lack of teams to play against an the quality of this division (my info was the club was told it would play in the grand final for 2009 and then play finals for 2010 in div6)if this is correct never stat what you cant deliever,I think houghton have done well up till now but it all depends on saturdays result remember these are 2 clubs that should have played in this years grand final and dont look for any reason if not successfull, maybe it all comes back to coaching ability.I think there is too much negative talk about c grade/d grade sides on here in this division remember they are playing a grade/b grade sides, what would you sides be like in division 6

to treders no1.comment made to play grand final not there.no2 H.D.F.C. to make grand final done well down 1 year back into div6 the next year if successful.no3 coaching statement one might have more experience than other.no4 sides still playing against c/d grade sides should win more than they lose remember A/B grade against those, surely you would agree on these discussions.

Not sure i totally agree with this whole C/D grade vs A/B grade to me you still have to beat any team and in some cases I think its easy for the clubs with C/D's to have players goign up and down so they can win, lose games. I dont think it is a valid point at all MR Million.....

The top four were head and shoulders above everyone else and very little separated them, it was always going to be an injustice for two of those teams to miss out on a GF. St Paul's have improved on their previous two years, a bit harsh to say they underachieved.

I don't think I picked anyone really, probably had Henley up there in my head. To be honest, I tried not to believe the hype around St Paul's and as such they exceeded my expectations.
