That's why you give awards for best players in finals series/grand final instead.

Why unfair ? If anything, finals votes should be worth double ! If we use your logic FC, then we wouldn't give weekly awards either :?

My view, is if you are playing a game for the club, as part of the premiership season, then votes should be given.

We did give votes during finals a couple of years ago (only B grade, as A grade weren't in) but last year went back to finishing b&f votes after minor round - i think this was more because our secretary couldnt be stuffed printing up more vote cards though. We had a 'Best Finals Player' trophy last year instead.

i think clubs should give votes for finals games too. as someone stated earlier, these are the games that matter, and the better players will always stand up in these games and deliver when the club wants them to. i reckon the more deserving winner is the guy who gets the votes against the better teams in the bigger games, as opposed to the front runners who just get votes against the weaker teams (hope nobody gets offended by that comment).
for example a full forward who kicks a bag of goals against 3 crap teams, but crumbles against the better teams is no use to anyone really (except the teams %)

Absolute stupid not including finals IMO.

BnF's are for a teams best n fairest player throughout the year. That is every game that side plays in the year. which includes finals.

Obviously u cant do Brownlows and association medals over finals because not every side is playing.

I cant believe clubs dont include finals. What a joke

Sorry, I'd just like to re-hash that counting finals at association level would be dumb and unfair.

What people do at club level is completely up to the individual club. However, my preference is the same as Punk Roosters, as I said above.

Does that seem a bit odd to other sides? We included finals in '07.

Count should be 18 home and away rounds only, finals is its own reward for all players for their hard work over a season.

HDFC B&Fs

A Grade
B&F: Matt Newton
R/U: Dylan Dwyer

B Grade
B&F: Sean Bird
R/U: Todd Birch

No surprises there, Matty and Dylan both had a stellar year. Birdy was a stalwart in the Ressies and Birchy has really matured as a player, stepping up to be a vital player in the A Grade. Congratulations lads :ymapplause:
