wouldnt be that confident shoe boy... he has approached the club and know he was very keen for the job the year stringer applied back in 2006.

plus if his ambition is to coach a grade again id imagine he wouldnt languish in the junior grades another season

you quote TV as no. 1 - will it buy them a premiership?

Is it true that Harley Montgomery can play in the junior colts final this week after only playing 1 game in that comp? Surely that cannot be allowed.

I know he qualifies age wise but surely there is a games quota as well, doesnt seem fair that a bloke plays all year in the 17s and possibly a few B grade games (?) but can then step back.

In Regards to Juniors coming back to play finals, its been happening for years. Under 17s play a grade all year due to clubs only letting them play one game on any given day (eg. if they make the a grade then they are not allowed to play the 17's etc). But seeing as they are an under 15 or 17 then they can go back to that level even though they have not even played one game throughout the year. Dont agree with it as I'm sure one of the young guys who has been playing all year has missed out, its just how it goes, if he fits into the age group he can play.

He played a dam good game for the B grade in the TV final. The only one who could kick goals in the first half. He should carve up in U 15s.

i think if a 15 year old is good enough to play B grade, than good luck to him. i dont think it should stop him from being able to play U/15's aswell though.... he shouldnt be penalised for being a talent.

In years to come you might be able to say you played a game against an AFL player...who knows? Get on with it, he is a champion fair ball player who loves playing the game.

no dooubt he is a quality player and a great kid. just a little lopsided if a kid who has played 17s all year and polled third in that grades medal is allowed to play 15s finals. i know both meadows and kangy have players who could do the same but chose not too..

You're a bit off the mark there express, Kangy's do not have any S/C not playing in the GF this week that played other grades throughout the year.(I know rthat for a fact!) As for Meadows the Bailey lad played A grade most of 2008 and played S/C finals and was a major impact on their success.
Cos' a lad is good we can't punish them it may be the only chance they get to play in a G/F.

Interesting to see Torrens Valley's Michael Carter get a mention in today's "Rucci's Roast" in the Advertiser.

I read that too, wouldnt think it was the reason but hey nothing like a little story. I mean how many games a year would he get to anyway ?? Mind you its always good for the boss to turn up conveniently on the biggest day and not the others.

On a side note, Carter must have a pretty decent sized wallet. Playing footy for the GE Millionaires AND being CEO of FFSA. That mightnt pay as well as I think but surely its a fair salary.

more than aware of that but do have an under 17 who has been in that sides best who is eligable to play under 15s GF.

i would have thought that you of all people would be aware that they do have players playing 17s who have played other grades thoughout the year to fill in but were recognised under 17 players and played under 17s each week.

difference is harley has played only 17s all year and polled well in the medal and now is allowed to come back. nothing we can do about it but i think the rule needs revision

Can anyone who went to both of the last two games between these sides explain how Echunga goes from losing by 169 points to just a few goals to the Brookers?
Tips for this week? Will be such a nice day with TV's aerial dominance being the main key to them winning by 7 to 10 goals on saturday at Maccy oval. which i'm told is back into tip top shape.

TV: $1.40
Kersbrook: $3.30

Unfortunately for Carter he wont be playing in the grand final come saturday. Don't think it will hurt TV's chances, should win this one. The return of Deke Smith will be too much for the brookers to cover with him and hilly waxing off each other all day and helping themselves to a handful of goals each!! Go the cash train!!

I see he got a mention in the Advertiser, changing the soccer leagues game day to Sundays to suit his football commitments. That would have gone down like a lead balloon.
