Just another coupla points before the Chairman rings me and tells me to STFU (as he usually does)

We played the second half with only one on the bench with Rees off with a hammy, Blanchy off with a depressed fractured cheekbone (connected to) Phillips off with a red card after half time altercation and 17 men only for the first 10 minutes of the premiership quarter.

I was standing with a mob of non-PAC blokes and I said we were in trouble because it was such an attrition game. The agreement amongst the group was to put Roo in the guts, but with 3 on 4 up forward for the 1st 10 minutes we needed the firepower.

And we held them - if they couldn't kill us off then, then we had them....and we did

And Matto - the $hit he copped from the CBC crowd and he gave it back in spades......on the field....no wonder you hate him coming over to us - you knew the damage he could do

Outstanding win by the Reds.Good game by both sides BUT to be 3 players down with a half to play makes their performance outstanding.WELL DONE REDS.
Wonder how Rocky felt?

"The mouth" #24 get many kicks?? He was sledging us guys when we were down by 20+ goals against CBC, glad there is a footy god!

#24 was Konopka, wasnt it ? He was playing B grade last year. He was ok yesterday. He attempted to sledge us when THEY were down by 10+ goals last year - strange bloke...

I stood for a little while in amongst the CBC supporters during the 3rd quarter. They were pretty good, except for the peanut in the yellow shirt standing near the boundary line, yelling abuse at Roo. 2 key points for ya mate -

1) I was 5 metres from you and struggled to hear you - Roo was 30-40 metres away, so im pretty sure he was oblivious.

2) Saying 'You dont belong in D4' is a pretty stupid statement to make when your coach is D Jarman. And before someone says 'But he didn't play', if he hadn't of swallowed a medium-size car, im sure he would have donned the boots at some stage.

In all, a good day and brought back great memories of last year.

Yeah that's him, the mouth!
You lose a lot of respect when you carry on against opposition sides all the time, no doubt.
I remember Douglas #29 i think, very good player - noticed he got in the best!
But with 6.5 you'd have to say Roo took the points! :)

Another trophy for 2009, although no-one has any idea how it works.......

Congratulations to PAOC on the weekend in all three grades. Two very solid sides who will hold their own in div 3 if they retain their players. Anyone know if Jarman is coaching CBC again next year? Or will Roo play again next year for Princes? Who would be the bigger departure do you think in terms of how it will effect the two teams?

Jarman wont coach and Roo has said he will play on and might bring a couple of ex-team mates out. Should be possible with the mighty Pies doing them on Saturday night

I reckon your opposition on Saturday would have found a way to add an extra C to your name. :)

believe the cbcocfc website says jarman is continuing on next year.
saw a bit in the sunday mail yesterday on the ex afc players setting themselves the challenge of running around in div 4 and 5 this year. ricciuto was supposed to have said 'a lazy 6' and he'd kicked 5 pts so would have to sort that out during the week at training. wonder if thats what he said or what they chose to write.

Their supporters were certainly throwing the C word around enough

Jarman might have pulled a swifty on me as well, and announced on Saturday night that he's coaching next year - just cant trust these guys

Grand Final Disappointment
Despite clearly being the best side for the season the Dolphins had a bad day at the office going down by 10-points in yesterday’s Division 4 Grand Final.

In warm and sometimes blustery conditions the boys did the club proud and battled valiantly to the finish but just fell short of premiership glory. Final scores were 13.11 (89) to 14.15 (99). Best players for the day were Robert Douglas, Nicholas Pilichiewicz, Liam Threadgold, Ben Primus and Andrew Wilson. The goal kickers were Primus (5 goals), Wilson, Konopka, Pilichiewicz (2 goals) and singles to Tom Payne and Jordan Milde.

The Club and in particular the players would like to extend a special thank you to the support shown on the day from the large contingent on ‘the hill’ (including Dirk the Dolphin). It was a pleasure to see so many people (including a number that came from interstate and overseas for the day) supporting the Club. In these times where there is little loyalty shown by some and many Clubs utilise the chequebook to buy imports to win premierships it is this sort of camaraderie and club spirit shown on and off the field yesterday that makes CBC Old Collegians the greatest football club in the world and me proud to say that I am a Dolphin until I die.
Reflecting on the season we saw the team break a number of club records and set a solid foundation to launch an assault on the Division 3 premiership. The Committee would like to thank the coaching staff, players, volunteers and supporters for their efforts during the season and we look forward to another successful year coming up.

The preparations for 2010 have already commenced behind the scenes with the news that Darren Jarman has extended his contract and will continue as Senior Coach.

This years Presentation Night will be held on Saturday 31 October with details on time and venue to be available shortly on this site.

Be sure to watch this space regularly for updates and the latest news from our Club.

Go you Dolphins!

Just out of interest, how many of your A Grade team actually went to CBC? Loyalty my AR$E
