Tanka wrote:Kersy definately were the far better side on the day and had they have kicked straight should have won by 6 goals. Brett James coached the side very well and Roger playing in the middle and Paul James would have had 30 touches each. Well done to your mob Cougar great to see the TV dynasty on the slide

Summed it up pretty well Tanka. Thought Paul was BOG though and what about the TV move of replacing the injured Carter with Hughes in defence?

Think the Kersbrook Banner before the game was fitting with the end result

It read 'They can't buy what we've got!'

I too went and watched the game yesterday. Was a great day with a good crowd. I was astounded how badly TV are coached. They certainly have the cattle but "Ed Harry" simply cannot coach. The 3 James Brothers had the ball on a string, Roger regulay 20 metres in the clear. How could TV coaching staff not pick up on this,???? A blind man could see it happening all day. The Kersebrook ruckman dominated and gave his on-ballers first use all day. Brookes were hungrier and more physical all day and were 1st to he footy winning the 50-50 ball. They were very well coached by James. Lees was exciting up forward and TV were to tall and top heavy to go with their smaller, quicker, smarter opponents. Where to now for TV?? How many will stay and go?? Congratulations to all other winners on the day.

Well sorry to tell ya but ya Miliion dollar football team got rolled! Paul james said it all after the game when he held the cup aloft and over the loud speaker said, "Money doesnt buy this" SO TRUE! Great day for the Brookers.

If he indeed said this then Apples is a greater bloke than I thought, along with the people who made the banner. What a great call.

Saturday was a typical Kersbrook performance. Huge underdogs going into the game, written off by all and sundry outside the club..... they love it, and have done since way back when my old man pulled on the double blue jumper and probably further back than that. I cant profess to like either side and I did back the TV megastars to get the job done but it did put a slight smile on my face when I heard the scoreline, if only because I would love to see the long list of excuses that Gaz no doubt has.

Now the question is how many of his men will leave the club, or maybe that should be how many will stay ?? Will this loss spur them on to have another crack up here or have their minds been made up. Same goes for Kersy, and Cougar may or may not be able to answer this as its early days, but who, if anyone will Roger take up the road with him next season. Beefy didnt get the Norwood gig so youd assume he'll stay on, how many more will he bring up ??

If Kersy keep relatively the same group together theyll be almost unbeatable next year you'd imagine, especially if TV do lose a number of their stars. The other clubs will have to recruit bloody hard if they want to catch up.

Given that David Murphy has played with Mitch I would very much doubt that this is the case but good luck to Mitch, I would like to see him get a gig somewhere. Know they were chasing the coach of a Country division club though who had apparently said that he could bring about six with him but unless the rule has been changed again, he'll only be able to bring three.

Had heard - how true I don't know - that TV may have made a nibble at a couple of Kersbrook players for 2010 but they are fairly new to Kersbrook i.e. not locals.
