4 DOWN 5 TO GO FOR MacGOWAN

Postby - » Tue Oct 17, 2006 11:51 am

Rick McGowan is the new coach of Sturt leaving him only 5 clubs to represent to complete the magic 9. Or has he already represented 5 of 10 with his duties this year.

Dasher despite being a controversial poster is usually spot on with his early calls.

Great news for Rick and great news for the Sturt FC if its the case, a fanatastic appointment and I wish Rick all the best.
I hope he gets the resources that will justify the job he does.

I hope he doesn't take too many young Eagles reserves players with him. Good luck to him though - I think he'll need it at Sturt for the next couple of years. Would imagine this would confirm Ron Fuller will coach the Eagles in 2007, if there was ever any doubt.

Not doubting you, most (not all) clubs are able to get it out to members/media first before it becomes public knowledge....

Good on both parties for takin a risk !!!

The club for takin a rookie coach so to speak and Rick for takin on a side that had some spankins this year and finished second last.

My message to Rick is to start makin calls today for anyone who he thinks can play league - Thanks and Good Luck !!!
It is what it is !!!

Excellent choice Sturt. Congratulations Rick - I know he has coveted a senior coaching gig for some time and he has done the right thing by getting to as many clubs as possible in recent times to see what goes on outside of his playing environment.
