Best Bets? Talking Odds? This is the place.

Depends on why it was scratched... but I agree it's a disgrace if it's only been scratched because it won on Friday night..
mind you - would we be having this discussion if they implemented an emergency system, because then the next horse in line would have got a run...

was if you can believe it SCRATCHED today

Question I want to ask the trotting gurus is :
There were 10 horses entered in this race and then PJAELENE
was scratched making that original field to 9 starters.

:?:
I assume there is a limit of 10 horses in a pacers race in mobiles :?: :?: :?:
If thats the case did another horse miss being in the field because
the greedy connections of PJAELENE nominated thier horse :?: :?: :?:

Another minus mark for Globe Jokey Park if thats the case.

That makes it more farcical then.
Imagine if it was a 5 horse field today, and 4 horses won on the friday night = 1 horse field today

PS dont call me pure and simple ever again !

claimer you are right you can buy a horse before the race but you dont get that days/nights prizemoney

junior claim, well instead of weights as with apprentice jockeys, you can either claim a 10 metre lift in stands or drop a grade in mobiles i hope this helps you dutchy

i dont think they have ever had 4 co races on the one night at gawler ever (tab meeting) so your theory of most of the field would be scratched wouldn't happen & mal if your dogs & my trotts are that farcical why are you betting on them ? the only thing farcical is the admin & prizemoney

great point mal, the system is wrong......
hey cant beleive I got $1.80 the place..... I am going to do this from now on put my $1000 on one bet the place each meet .....instead of loosing it over the day with $100 BETS........ $800 bucks money for jam..... it was always going to run a drum in that crap field.
MDM - any punter worth is note will use betfair..... sometimes putting $1000 on early for a place turns punters away.... as 2/3 of the pool is invested in the last 2 mins.... people look up and see $1 or $1.10 the place and dont back it..... it drifts to overs really late (sometimes).

I don't think this is correct - the race it was entered for was a mares R0 or better, all it did on Friday was win an R0 race (non penalty $1000 race), it was not and wouldn't have been re-handicapped for the race. It couldn't have been scratched for that reason... In addition, I think you'll find Bayman in Adelaide (and in Adelaide only) if they win a race and have already accepted for a race a few days later, then they can run in it... In any event, your comment of the administrators being a joke is spot on... given the fighting that has undertaken - word on Saturday night is that it has cost the club over $200k...
ABSOLUTELY DISGRACEFUL!!

SCD that scratching was a blight on the industry, I wont harp on
it BAYMAN, Im surprised this happens at the trots, as it does at the pups.

$200k over a comittee matter is embarrasing for the club.
When is that comittee meeting Id like to roll up and tell them
that $200k can buy a house.

AG - doing a few sums I find it hard to believe that you put $1000- on the place on PUNITAB. The place pool for the race (AT 1) was $3766- less 14% commision that leaves $3239- for the punters to be distributed - divide that by 3 place divies = $1079- for each runner. Now even if your $1000- was the only place bet on that horse you would have got $1-10 divvie if they rounded up. Based on my sums there was a total of $600- ont his horse for the place.
