I hear the Eagles will lose some more players eg Geddes, Wright to Henley next year, any truth to this.
Could be as many as 5-6 leaving?

Eagles always have a high turnover of players - we have to so we can keep promoting our juniors.
We will lose our share again but they wont come from our best tier of players...we have quite a few
lads who have been in the system for a few years who have just about had their chance go by.

Zac Heir is an interesting one as Im led to believe he played all over the ground as a junior , yet has been stuck at full back for the league side for years now and just doesnt have quite the height or strength to make it work when the big guns come to play ala Chambers ; thats really not his fault . Why Fuller has never really tried the lad out elsewhere I have no idea  . We need a full back for sure , but need to keep the lad as hes too young to lose now hes got about 3 seasons worth of experience in him .

I see Fuller said in the messenger paper that all we need is a couple of quick midfielders , forward and key defender ; it must have slipped his mind to mention " and a post mini league gameplan " ................... but Ronnys alright , especially with the Bays choking the joint up these days !

really dominated as a junior playing local a grade footy... dickie would give him numerous tasks all around the ground and more often then not all tasks would of been completed... his best U/21 player award at the country carnival as a 17 year old is a testament to his workrate and commitment... do not let him go.

I remember his first game was against Port late in the 2006 minor round season - that was at full back. Waterhouse was eventually benched, although the delivery that day didn't suit him much. I think that effort that day probably pigeon-holed him in that spot as successor to Pedler. And there hasn't been anyone to take over from him, which is another reason why we really need a quality key defender (the other being we can play Kenny up forward more often).

I'm interested to see who the Eagles can bring to the club for the 2010 season and beyond .
A do some of the guys who left due to Ron come back.
B Do we as a club actually do some recruiting something we haven't done in years.

Is there anyone that has left (whether it be due to Ron or other reasons) that we would genuinely want back? The only one I can think of is perhaps Schwarze because we do need a key forward, but he ended up in North's reserves by the end of the season.

Thinking more of James Stewart and the other Redden .perhaps guys like that.
Schwarze has to many off field problems (from his days at oval ave)and he is rather over priced for his value.you know play one good game go missing for 3 .

Craig Fitzgerald.. your kidding, he kicked >40 goals in League footy in 2008 as a 20 year old and in 2009 he was played at back pocket in the reserves. Unfortunatly Craig was another one of Ron's victims, and Mark Jefferies certainly didnt help his case!! Hopefully Godden will use him better in 2010.

Needs to play up forward comes back from injury and plays down back .
At least fuller isn't there to turn another forward into a midfielder .
Will he stay around or will he go ?
