Agree, Crows must keep him, but I do like their approach of no big cheque books, to me it keeps everyone with a level head. he is by far the best up and coming big man forward in the country.

The whisper I hear is that the Gold Coast big man will put his name to a Crows contract either today or tomorrow, before trade week starts, which should cheer up the locals in Adelaide quite a bit.

Only if he signs for 11 years Rog ;)

In all seriousness, ridiculously huge signing for the Crows .. I reckon everything they are building toward revolves around him.

Neil Craig has said publically that Adelaide won't be drawn into a bidding war for Tippet's services and would only offer to pay him what they think he is worth to the team.

Would Crows fans be happy to see Kurt Tippet get paid what ever it is he wants, to stay in Adelaide?

Personally (if I were a Crows fan), I would. He is crucial to the Crows in the next 2 - 3 years, where their premiership chances have never looked better. I think he is worth every penny to Adelaide, even if it means matching the Gold Coast's over-inflated offer.

I think Craigy is trying to say that he believes and backs Kurt's integrity not to chase the easy $$$ but stay with the club who has put time and money into him and who will have success with into the future!

Tippett may well stay, but surely Craig isn't that naive?

Craig must remember there are four players in this game, Adelaide,Tippet, the Gold Coast and Tippets Manager...who do you think has the biggest say in all of it? ;)

I think he will stay but I think he will sign for 2 years, see what the Crows can do in that time then "jump ship" when the GC has been in for two years and in up and running.

Kind of ... I think the Crows would still put a quality offer to him $-wise, one that would put him close to the highest paid player at West Lakes within the next 3 years, and an offer that would be considered very high in a normal situation (ie, without the Salary Cap benefit GC currently have)

Def CP they will offer what he is worth and not the inflated price that GC will offer! Its like playing country footy for 1000 a game when in the city youractual worth is 300 a game
