For the short-term. Will play a few games for the Power next year, get delisted, spend a so-so year at Oval Avenue and then end up back at CY Cougars. But that's alright, because by that time Salter would have fallen out of favour at the Power anyway.

Funny club officials told me late in the season he wasn't coming back due to injuries with his knees .
Perhaps some one from the club could clear that up holden ?

The latest news coming from Crow land is that Rob Shirley has been delisted. One would assume he would play on with the Eagles.

If he doesn't get picked by another AFL club hopefully he plays on with the Eagles. I think he's on about 98 games.

Not sure Whelan would be much value now with all his injuries.

I've got him down for 97 matches. 91 of those were between 1999 and 2004.

All players who are one injury free season from a milestone are:

150 games:
Mark McKenzie - 147
Peter Fiacchi - 133

100 games:
Robert Shirley - 97
Luke Jarrad - 85
Ken McGregor - 83

50 games:
Sam Fairclough - 47

100 goals:
Adam Grocke - 96
Ken McGregor - 92

100 behinds:
Justin Cicolella - 94

Skipworth has retired from AFL. Let's hope he will make a return to the blue, green, gold & gold

Disappointing to lose Zac Hier if that is the case. After a premiership as a 17 year old - it looked as if he would be our Full Back for the next decade given he didn't get picked up by the AFL.

Westbrook is also a loss, but he was more handy than anything and we should be able to replace him with Staple/Dawson etc.

Any news on if Skipworth or Shirley are likely to play for the Eagles next season? Adding those two to what we already have would complete our midfield.

Then number one priority would be a Full Back, number two would be a Full Forward and number three another ruckman. Not asking for much?

The loss of Zack Hier might only be for 1 season. Will be missed in 2010 however.

Dont be to despondant at this stage of the game MJ, the Eagles are a quality side with signficant depth on their current list who would have to be regarded as a strong chance to participate in the SANFL finals in 2010, I have little doubt that once the AFL draft is over, several quality players will be signed on with WWT to further their careers back into or to get into the AFL.

A do some of the guys who left due to Ron come back.
B Do we as a club actually do some recruiting something we haven't done in years.

Is there anyone that has left (whether it be due to Ron or other reasons) that we would genuinely want back? The only one I can think of is perhaps Schwarze because we do need a key forward, but he ended up in North's reserves by the end of the season.

Don't want him, not up to standard.

Thinking more of James Stewart and the other Redden .perhaps guys like that.
Schwarze has to many off field problems (from his days at oval ave)and he is rather over priced for his value.you know play one good game go missing for 3 .

Stewart back, Redden staying at Henley

Any news on Rhett Biglands whon never retired, only said he wouldn't be playing in 2008. Would be handy addition and with Redden, would allow Dabrowsky to play the tall defender that we've lacked.
