Central Mission pleased to announce its first win for the season came last night when Mr M.Laird (Bubbula) was cleared back to Enfield =)) =)) :partyman: :partyman:

Mr Bubbula i know your a great fan of reading this forum so here i go..

I think its ironic that last season you bagged the living day lights out of Enfield, you moved clubs to Central Mission (the savior) then all of a sudden this season you have decided to leave CM and return to what club? ENFIELD!! Hmm you seem to change your opinions more than your jocks!

I also find it funny that your main goal was to play A grade, or as you put it "play at the highest level possible", you get selected in the A grade, bat 7, fail, then elect to move to a club to play in a div lower batting in the same spot.. the reason... "more opportunities & a chance to prove yourself" ... bit of an oxymoron don't you think...

let the sledging begin!! :axe:

Bubbula was 'offered' a top 5 spot in Enfields B grade(div 3, the same div as CM lastyear). Compared to his predicted batting spot of 9 at CM if retained in the A grade I think this was the best option. For the record, Bubbula failed batting at 7 with the 3rd top score of 4!

PG, the same man who wanted to captain the side this year, the same man who told everybody he was leaving because he was 'offered' money and the Paralowie Div 1 captaincy batted at 8. With 27 overs to go and needing 40 runs, PG had not scored after 3 balls and did the true leaders thing. He tried to smash the ball out of the park. He missed the ball by a foot. Bubbula suggested putting his head down and reminded him of the mere total they needed from alot of overs. PG then told Bubbula to worry about his own batting. PG 'threw' his wicket away and was out for 7. Being a 'leader' as he likes to think of himself, he then came off and blamed everybody but himself for his failure.

Opportunity club changing happens in every sport. One example would be Lachie Henderson leaving Brisbane for Carlton. Batting 9 in a side and not bowling is not 'opportunity'. Batting time is few and far between in a good side(to which Bubbula regards CM A grade)batting at 9. Bubbula did not leave out of spite. He could have just floated back to B grade and been a Big Fish in a small pond but decided that wasnt him.

As for bagging Ennies, yes he did. Thats part of the game. There are disgruntled sportsman in every sport. Most get over it, Some never get over it. Maybe Bubbula has turned a corner.

I think in a day and age where there is no real loyalty he should be applauded for doing what makes him happy instead of being bagged out by a so called mate(of many years mind you).

1. You batted 7, was never a mention of you batting 9 dont know where you pulled that from.
2. Its true i was going to go to Paralowie, but for the record i would never nor could ever play for any sort of incentive, im not a good enough player and thats not the reason i play. I never was offered the captaincy but was asked about a leadership role involvin helping with training and game days etc, but i declined as i told dutchy im not capable enough nor suited to do such a task, i know my limitations.
3. True, no arguements here.
4. Never blamed the team for MY failure, i threw my wicket away no denying it, i do however blame the entire team including myself for failing to chase down 65 runs! 5 ducks in that innings as well! I batted 8, Fred batted 11, we did this because chasing 65 we thought it was a good opportunity for certain players to prove themselves etc, i floated this idea the night before and was more than willing to bat down the order, as it turns out it was prob a bad move.

I gotta go back to work, i look forward to continuing this debate shortly..

Who might they be? Gee your quick to turn aren't you, don't even think your clearance has finished going through yet!

To answer the question, CM have 2 full sides still and in due time we will find out whether or not the cattle is good enough, but for the time being we are putting the sides on the field and thats all you can ask for.

what I was referring to with batting at 9 is next week it would be wisel predicted that Fred and yourself go above Bubbula. Thus meaning he will be pushed down to 9. Now lets be realistic here. Batting at 9 and not bowling(which he doesnt expect) is generally regarded as a specialist fielder... I dont think you would find any cricketer, that considers there batting there strong point, happy batting at 9. Thats not opportunity.

Exactly. Im not disputing here. its good to see they have good numbers. The 2 a graders from last year are Huxtable(fair enough, getting old but good enough to play in the A grade IMO) and Scott Watson(who supposedly done his back, so pulled out of the a grade saturday)

Agree on the Huxtable one, but Watson, bad back, and also prob just make up the numbers in the A grade, prob wouldnt bowl and bat 9 or 10, also due to his back problems cant field and run as witnessed last season
