Last start winner and hit the line nicely ridden hand and heels over the line to brake through its Maiden status in a Class 1 2day and I think will go close to saluting again. Showing nice odds at the minute.

She's tough .. In my limited experience I would have thought the track is likely to be in suitable condition for the imports, but they're an unknown quantity here (and even over there with some of their opposition).

I'll study it tonight, but at the moment I'm pretty big on Viewed, Master O'Reilly, Predatory Pricer and Daffodil.

Hopefully the lads who study it much harder can come on and offer their thoughts

They're on their 2nd or 3rd day in a row of rain apparently, outlook for tomorrow is partly cloudy with isolated showers, so you would prob think a Dead rating, possibly heavy.

Very Discreet smashes them tomorrow, $2.80 is a gift for a $1.60 chance

I like Cima De Triomphe with Master O, Viewed and roughy Red Ruler. If it pisses down Fuimincino could run a race at long odds.

I think best bet is Quin/Exact with Hot Danish & Typhoon Tracy.

Also my boss has a horse with Danny O'Brien and they have been tipped Rachine in the 1st. Stable is going to back it so good enough for me.

They reckon the track is in good nick - yes Melbourne has had a lot but they reckon Caulfield has missed out.

Took some of that this morning.

I can't remember having a decent lashlaroo at either the Caulfield or Melbourne cups since the reffos have made regular appearences, their champions are pigs & the only ones that win are the ''travelling companions''.
Hey soccer you owe us 45million.

My take on the CUP - is hard to say something can or cannot win but here goes.

Daffodil - Big query about form this prep, looks like she's beaten average horses. CANNOT WIN
Predatory Pricer - Drawn roughly but if he runs the trip will be a threat. CAN WIN.
Viewed - Track condition (D4 most likely) should suit him to a tea. CAN WIN
Vigor - Pay to forgive last run. Will go forward and be in it for a long way but CANNOT WIN. Could surprise in the Melb Cup
Allez wonder - Nice win last week, if anyone can back up a horse in the Caulfield Cup it's Bart - CAN WIN
Roman Emperor - Ground should suit and placed to perfection by the master. CAN WIN
Master O'Reilly - Up 4.5kg from '07 win & prob not going well enough to counteract weight hike. CANNOT WIN
C'est La Guerre - Will it be wet enough? Probably not. CANNOT WIN
Kirklees & Cima De Trimomphe - Hard to gauge form, but what's left of the Australian brigade looks well below par. CAN WIN

1. Predatory Pricer
2. Viewed
3. Kirklees
4. Cima De Triomphe
5. Roman Emperor

Won't be touching that.

Royal Ida is very well in at the weights here for mine and is back in winning form.
