I'd welcome him to Norwood with a cold Cooper's and open arms in a split second!
Last time we got a so called washed up full forward we won a flag and he won the Ken Farmer medal, of course I speak of Jim West in 1997.

Washed up hey? He would be the first picked if your shitty club could afford him let alone the transfer fee it would take. Do I hear pokies money, whoops forgot yours are collecting dust. Maybe you can afford his boot laces?

Still with comments like that I'm sure the "plethora" of forwards at Norwood can all breath easily seeing as how you summed him up so well. What's the bet your club starts ringing him after Oct 31 when the contracts all end for 2006?

P.S. It wasn't form or injury that he got the arse either, so washed up? - I don't think so.

Daniel Hargraves is not "washed up". He should be playing Full Forward for North next year. Pity the people or person making that call doesn't see it the same way.

still a bit of a surprise to see hargs get the boot, obviously north are looking to the future.

i wouldnt want hargs picked up by sturt as he only has one or two years in him and even those wont be that good.

pass.

PS: if we paid him in silver nickels, then maybe ;)

good to see you back dogman2003 er, drebin :D

You mean we are in the same position your shitty club was in not so long ago?

Your club is way worse off than North ever were. At least we didn't resort to selling off assets like the actual social club and buying white elephants.

Fester's inclusion of the words 'so called' mean that Drebin owes him a huge apology for another spittle flecked bilious rant about Norwood.

Even though we have an Asset now which is almost the equal of the one we sold?

Think you'll find Festers "Washed Up" comment was more in relation to a (rightly or wrongly) perception by many in SA footy circles that Daniel Hargraves best football is behind him.

Anyone can kick a wounded dog (NFC) while it's down mate and you're better than that.

Your right CP cheap shot soory sorry to those Nwd fans but I was acting to the inference originally made. Shouldn't let the emotion of what happened cloud my vision on what others actually mean but Hargs is mate after all.

This little mini-drama reminds me of some previous incidents where a player being harshly dealt with/commented on is a friend of a poster attempting to defend him, only this time the shoe is on the other foot.....

Stick 'em in order.

Well done Constance. I read the post the exact same way as you.

If anything, the post was a positive about Hargs and the imapct he could have at Norwood.

Some people just don't take the time to read things properly before firing off shots.

Fester could not have been more positive about Hargraves at the club last night and even asked the question of the GM at the information night. An unfair attack by Drebin, personally I don't think Hargraves offers us or a number of other SANFL clubs much just based on where we are with our side and our development but you never know someone might want him. The SAAFL might be the place for him which is a real shame.

If the struggling clubs and that includes Norwood who lack key forwards don't at least enquire then their coaches and football operations staff are not doing their jobs. If the shoe was on the other foot you can bet North would be enquiring at the very least.

Question for all !!

If a player is told that they are no longer required - does an actual transfer fee still apply if they are to move to another club ????
It is what it is !!!
