Laird is said to be happy with his progress already although it may not be on form yet morale. He could raise the spirit of the dead! in what will be a very close game Im thinking with there ins, Enfield by a finger nail!

Are you joking???? No offence but if i were a gambling man id say it was more a matter of Uern wanting to play with Laird so take one to get the other, bit like Carlton with Cloke!

Rose Park by a country mile..

Onion hit 16 on the weekend and looked like he was already in better form then half the a graders!

If this is true final four of Div 5 is sorted. All teams can take the rest of the season off and still play finals.

As posted on the website:

The forecast maximum temperature for Adelaide tomorrow is 39 degrees and therefore there is no general cancellation of matches.

However, under Match Rule 6.8 (b) (iii), if both captains agree then play may be abandoned if they consider that the hot weather makes it unsafe to play.

So if your club would prefer not to play in the heat, then you can contact your opposition, and if (and only if) they agree, the match can be changed to a one-day game next week.

Far be it for me to be a smart arse..... but technically, with Para Vista currently in fifth spot with 2.83 points and Central Mission 3rd on 14.something then Para Vista would have to gain 12 points during the season to play finals

If they choose to play at a higher level, good luck to them. And for the doubters, I dont believe you would find a club with 3 or 4 teams that takes every grade 'seriously'

The boys out at"The Roys " take our grades very serious it is full on competition to break into either grades for us in dv 1 dv 4 and dv5

(Cue Violins) If...IF we ever get everyone playing at the same time, there will be three really strong sides. This week we have bout eight or ten players out, incl 4 outs from A grade. Always been a problem at our club, we normally play at 75% strength over the year before everyones available for finals. Over the last ten years we would average 3 or 4 ins/outs from A grade each week and id seriously doubt apart from finals, that weve had an unchanged side in the last ten years. The challenge at our club has always been to make finals and wait for the cavalry to arrive. (End Violins, and wipe tears away with hanky)

How do you forfiet your A grade. Dose that mean all their other teams forfiet too.

Not sure how you get away with that.

I was thinking the same thing. Surely there will be some sort of penalty for this?

(f) If a multi team club is forfeiting a match, it must forfeit its lowest grade team.

(g) Penalty for failure to abide by Match Rule 7.3(f) will be forfeiture of all points
gained by the club for that round.
