Tasmania 5/333. Cowan 204no. Looks like another tame draw. We are in desperate need of a strike bowler. When is Tait going to get off his ass and actually play some cricket for a change?

We did have a strike bowler today
GEORGE 4/59[19] and he ripped em apart early
HABERFIELD is another who might be a strike bowler
The prob is we have no back up bowlers
DUVAL is learning, but I dont think he is the answer
OB a part time spinner[who has done Ok this season]
CHRISTIAN a part timer [who is done OK as well]

Ed Cowan 204*[292]
Who was the idiot that canned the TAS top 3 as being too slow after game one !!!!!!!
Nice of Mr Ed to make me look silly
Well done to Ed for having the guts to leave New Reb Wales and make it in Tasmania

Was going to say the same thing. Just reading the commentary, George bowled into a strong wind in his first spell and only had a couple of deliveries at Cowan for the entire spell. Then had him dropped just before the lunch break coming with the wind in his second spell. Could have been a different story had that catch been held (not sure how difficult it was).

Is Cleary injured? He would be handy.

Fair points. I just think it would be better for Tait and SA cricket if he was bowling on a more regular basis. He wasnt even going to play district cricket on the weekend (admittedly it was washed out but he still wasnt going to play). Im not a doctor or anything but I would assume the more work he does, the stronger his body will get. It worked for Gillespie didnt it?

I don't think he can handle the rigours of the longer version game, he would need to alter his action which would probably result in him being less damaging, one dayers and T20 for Taity nowadays unfortunately.

All out 389. Great fight back again by Redbacks. George 8/72 wow wow wow what a brilliant performance. But Cowan 225 on debut would have to be one of the best debut knocks of all time wouldnt it?

Go you Redbacks, I'm tipping a Klinger double ton :D no pressure or anything :?

Debut for tassie, but FC debut was back in 2003, great knock tho i agree, to be 3/28 and make 225, magic, georges 8/82 tho was brilliant!

I know it is still early days, but is Georgie a future Test player? Don't see too many performances like that....
