St. Pauls, Houghton and Glenunga for me at this early stage.

Houghton have gone up to Div 6 LM and it's Mawson Lakes now :D
Athelstone for me will be the benchmark and if Modbury come in I expect them to be pretty strong too.

I'd expect modbury, the lakers and athelstone to be around the mark.
expect a much better blacks side in 2010 too.
always forgive your enemies...nothing annoys them so much

we're still here and we plan to still be here in 2010. we have a long way to go however.

from what i can gather we are losing a couple of players but we haven't touched base with everyone yet. on the ither side of the coin we are working on some ex players and working on some local recruiting so we'll just see how we go...

we won't be starting any preseason until the new year and we still haven't got a coach as yet...

$300 a week Id say and a bonus if he makes finals and maybe free entry to all club events.
So it would'nt be a a huge amount as Flinders dont have cash to throw around.

$300 a game would give him $5400 just for the season not to mention his bonus if they made finals. Not sure what other clubs pay but that would be up there for a div 7 coach I would think.

Not a huge amount......Some coaches in this division get a free meal on a Thursday and Saturday and get their membership covered for their efforts and perhaps a few jugs at the end of the year to share with the players.

Is he a playing coach? Wonder if he'll bring any new players, Angle Vale i thought looked good in spurts last year but seemed to lack consistency and depth.

I don't think he would have played in the past 6 or 7 years, I'd doubt whether he'll be able to attract players considering he hasn't been out there for a while and has no previous senior coaching experience.
He does have a good understanding of the game and will be a good tactician, but from what I'm hearing there are a few leaving the Owls.

Any news on what Hook, Hunter and Vanhoren are doing next year? They sticking around or moving on?

I here that Hook & Hunter are staying put & Vanhoren maybe on the move.I here their ruckman was on the move but that could be just a rumour.
So far i have been told 4 A grades from last year arent going back and 2 or 3 are finished playing but with low numbers out there you would think the new coach would be chasing them all to play again.

have gelnunga been able to retain those recruits from last year?
only a couple of em played out the whole season, couple were struck down by injury i believe only 6-7 rounds in.
would be handy players to keep at the club in div7.
