Don't think any central div club would vote for Tubby. Be interesting to see which club seconds his nomination. Word is it is not Loby after he got kicked out of their joint this year. Owen for all his supposed short comings has a comp that is financially sound and in a good space at the moment. Glen Sickerdick is a gr8 deputy and with Benson coming to the board there is no need for Tubbys antics and outbursts. The budget is good and juniors are in abundance and the standard is very good so to change for change sake is ridiculous and clubs with self interest should butt out.

Nothing at all to report Kickittome. Plenty of hyperbole around about guns and prospects for next year as usual, but I think most people are over Callington. The days of Holton, Nykamp, Ridgy and Mully have gone and it will never get that good again. Nice while it lasted. Memories anyone?

There was a great game played between Kersbrook and Calllington in 98 when the Eagles were a rare favourite with all those above names playing, only for an emotionally charged Brooker unit to come out on top, going on to win 12 more in a row before losing at the Big Dance.

I recall it well Cougar. Vanson, McMurtrie, Highett and Radbone were on the ground also. The buzz on and off the field was incredible in those never-to-be-repeated days. And as you would know, Cally have never beaten Brookers in 15 seasons of footy and that probably wont change. And I can vividly remember the knee-deep mud on the old Kersbrook oval one day; freezing conditions and sleet, Port in the water bottles, cold water and hoses in the showers trying to get rid of the stinking stuff.........I believe the time-keepers from both sides decided enough was enough at the 17 minute mark of the last quarter but recorded it as a full one to avoid a hefty fine for telling lies!
Older, wiser and been there. But still love that grassroots country footy.

If they signed james and dempsey that is laughable u have a 6'3" mouse and a 6'2" steroid muncher both who dont like to get the football. Also heard that Todd Bajic a friend of deake smith is at the club next year.

Hargreaves & Ladhams?

Or is it White and Coulter ???

i did hear a little wisper also that Trewren will definately not be at Torrens Valley next year. As to where he is playing in unkown or if he will even play on.

Most of us dont care a rats toss who plays at Tv anymore..If Gh wants to waste his money so be it...most clubs will be competitive and wait for Gh to realise that $ isnt everything.

Has Kangy signed a coach yet? Wayne Stringer has left hasnt he? I have heard that his son Jaimen has also left and signed with Strathalbyn in the GSFL.

sounds like he's getting short changed... anything less than $1k from Hughes should be considered an insult.

Might be getting a pool and pergola thrown in too to make up the shortfall!
That seems to be a frequent occurence during "sign on" discussions with the great man.

Brad Pearce and Mish Bingos to Wallaroo for season 2010. those guys along with Roger are big losses. Suddenly a 3 peat looks somewhat harder. Mayb TV will get that elusive Cup they have been paying for.

Callington have beaten the Brookers. i think it was in last game of the season in 2005 at Callington oval when Walter Jackson was coach and Lawrie Rankine kicked over 100 goals for the season
