Hotspot is just focussed on the facing batsman yeah? I'm not sure why he referred it, neither are the commentators.

Looks like it doesnt apply anymore. If the 3rd umpire thinks the batsman may have hit it or Hauritz may have touched it then it is to be given out. Ridiculous I know.

So you are 100 % sure that his foot or hand touched it. It looked like too me in the slow motion replays that it missed everything. Comentator Nicholas also couldent tell and was leaning towards it being not at. The umpire refered it because he wasnt 100 % sure. The rule is any doubt batsman gets benefit.

Windies would have to be outright favourites to win this game now surely. Spewin.... at 11am yesterday they were still paying over $8.00 :shock:

Nah they wouldn't be outright favourites. The game is delicately poised. A couple of wickets close together and they could post a sub-250 total which you'd back us to reel in.

I'm pretty sure you won't find it in any rule book. It's either out or not out, as the bloke taking our umpires course from SACA last year stressed numerous times.

Commentators on the ABC going through the Aussie injuries and have stated a few definately in doubt for the next test, Siddle, Watson, Katich possibly
