Gee I feel pretty sorry for that Mathews! All his teammates have interesting names like Paranavitana and Sangakkara and he has to settle for Angelo Mathews! ;)

What about Russel Arnold? ;)

He gets teased a lot.

good watch them not win a test for another 18 months then and occasionally pinch a draw when the pitch is a road and they can hit 4/879

Except they win one or two in Australia, they always seem to play well here. But still with the talent they have I would expect them to win alot more games away from home. Maybe the time is now for them to break the mold?

Nope, as I thought, 1-1 draws in 1980/81 and 2003/04 is the best they have achieved.

Never won a series in South Africa (only four of them however). In twelve tests there they have only won once.
They have won three series in England; 1-0 in 1971, 2-0 in 1986 and 1-0 in 2007. All three test match series. But their record overall is 5 wins from 48 matches.

I suppose that reflects the past 5 or so years, but they still haven't been able to beat us or SAfrica away in a series at all.

To knock off a nation from the number 1 spot you would think that you would at least have to have beat them on their own soil, even once in your history would be good, Australia may have lost a couple of series recently but atleast we have been able to be successful both at home and abroad on all kind of surfaces, same goes for the saffies.

First T20 Wednesday

India have rested Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh from the Twenty20 internationals which means the bowling line-up is likely to be Ashish Nehra, Sreesanth, Ishant Sharma and Pragyan Ojha. There's is a doubt over Sreesanth, though, because the bowler has an upset stomach. If he is unfit one of the rookies - Sudeep Tyagi, R Ashwin and Ashok Dinda - could get a look in.
Murali injured ligaments in a couple of fingers while training during the third Test and is likely to be rested from the Twenty20 matches
