INTERDOMINION

Postby mal » Tue Oct 31, 2006 11:45 pm

There is a recomendation in the harness industry that the Interdominion
format be changed after this years championships.
The format is currently that horses race 3 heats in a week with the final a week later.
The recomendation is to race less often.

LEADING HARNESS RACING IDENTITY JOHNNY TAPP UNEQUIVOCABLY STATED
TONIGHT ON PAY TV THAT
" Race horses once a week or in trouble."

The consenus amongst the professionals is that racing horses 3 times in a week
is an outdated practice in the Interdominion.

NIDYA is a pacer who is commanding rave revues for being an iron horse.
The horse recently won 3 races in a week in NSW, a freakish effort.
The trainer is quoted as saying
" Im looking forward to the Interdominion as my horse will handle racing 4
times in 2 weeks , unlike many other horses who wont handle it as well."

Leading safooty guru MT79 disagrees with racing horses 3 times a week.

The reason I HATE this practice is that the trainers + owners of a horse running
3 times a week know how the horse is fitness wise BUT I DONT !

Any chance someone could post the dates of the Interdom in Adelaide next year if you know them?? Great night to go to the trots and see the best horses and best drivers on them.

Biggest finish I ever seen was watching Rainbow knight get within a head of Our Sir Vancelot after giving him at least 15 m start at the top of the straight.

point 1 i can pull out a section of any statement & have it look or sound the way you want, now i watched it (in the gig on sky) & yes he said that but when you see the show it is NOT IN THE CONTEXT MAL WISHES FOR
BECAUSE HE WONT QUOTE THE WHOLE SEGMENT SO GET A TRANSCRIPT OF IT MAL

POINT 2 YOU HATE, now let me point this out to you, your not sure how fit a horse is after 3 runs now i ask how do you know how fit it is before its first run that week ? YOU DONT UNLESS YOU ARE ON COURSE & YOU MAKE A JUDGEMENT FROM WHAT YOU OBSERVE
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Multiply what they do at the trots by 10 and thats Dyna Utah.
TROTS ARE A DROP IN THE OCEAN COMPARED TO DOGS.

Further to hand just to let you how stupid people in the trotting industry are.

First heat Interdominion at MOOnee Valley in Victoria on saturday
Second heat Globe Derby on wednesday
Third heat Globe Derby saturday
Final a week later[thank god]

How dumb the best horses in AU/NZ are racing 3 times in a week
in 2 different states

Fancy heat one MV then 4 days later at GDP
Are they crazy?

If these were claiming races instead of the Interdominion they would
have to cancel the races from a lack of nominations.

BAYMAN you say some horses can run 3 times a week.
I can agree to that without being totally convinced.
But tell me how many of these iNTERDOMION horses will be able to do it.
