have heard from a pretty reliable source that barry burgess ( ex hamley bridge, angaston, kenilworth and who knows how many other clubs!!) applied for and was given the position of b grade coach at macclesfield but has since knocked it back after he spoke to some angaston mates who told him what our illustrious friend the Termite is really like. have heard he will play with another ex macclesfield coach, his idol and the guy he aspires to beat in the most clubs stakes at fitzroy
I know burgess loves a celbration after a goal but even the termites akermains like handstands after beating the bottom side a couple years back is too much for him!!
Has Kyle McClean left maclesfield?

Speaking of the termite where the F is he? is he still serving his ban from the footy club or from the mods?
I heard from a golden grove guy that the termite is a big fan of exotic animals and their toes.

How much is the fine for a forfeit? If teams are paying out a couple of grand in match payments it would be cheaper and better for their percentage to simply not play TV. There's no need for three divs if TV had gone up to Central and with Kersy losing a couple of guns the next seven teams will be pretty even then Cally and S/C could fight it out for the spoon

Wouldn't have thought you'd have much interest in Country Div now Rooster, and if the rumblings are true about the payment$ this year out at the Veledrome, I don't think we'll see you in Country Div for a while either. Also heard the Rooster$ are going to up the ante a little as I know of more quality signings for season 2010. Could next year be the one where the wins are greater than the losses? It's been a while ;)

Brookers will lose Roger (Barossa), Lees (Athelstone) and Mish Pearce to Wallaroo.

3 Div comp has some merit, but think you'd struggle to get all those teams on agreeance with those terms. Kangarilla to Morgan is a fair hike as is Echunga to Robertstown! Thinking more of the lines of the stronger Div 1 Clubs (Loftys, Uraidlas, Blackwoods) fielding their 2nd side and 4th sides in a Div 3 comp.

I reckon your heads are where the sun dont shine
Torren$ Valley would be 10 goal better side than all of the teams in Div 2 (Assunming Kersy lose the Big 4 named and Birdwood were about the same) Gumeracha Beat Echumga and Nairne last Year and wouldnt be interested in only having one away game less than 45 minutes drive away.

And why would Barossa come back to the Hills - whats in it for them, Likewise Houghton especially with the away game program youve given them.

The Country Division is going to have 7 competitive sides with TV unbeatable and S/C and Callington a mystery as to how good they'll be at this stage.

Days, sources tell me that Brett 'Barry' Burgess has been offered a job in Queensland which he will accept and that is the reason why he had to knock back the maccelsfield job

Agree Cougar, 3 div comp has some merit, but far too much travel week-in week-out. Only way it could work would be a northern country and a southern country division.

3 div comp sounds great but there is no way barrossa would leave one of the best run country comps in the state. the current 2 div comp would be exellent if it just had relegation. that way if u were in div 2 and u were going to spend money there would have to be some thought to it because if u go up to div 1 the next year u would have to keep spending. it might actually put a hold on the amount of money being thrown around. as for the travel factor there are some leagues where they have to travel for an hour every away game. i think we have just been lucky to have towns so close in the HFL.

i think people should be careful not to write off sedan/camb. i have heard they have quite a few handy footballers going back there. a couple to keep an eye on would be faulkenberg and gibson. 2 handy footballers who have both played a bit of footy in the barrossa league. i think they might shock a few teams early on.
