A DAY AT THE RACES

Postby mal » Tue Nov 07, 2006 10:33 pm

I was at Morphetville for the Adelaide Cup today.
Here are some observations.

Celebrities BRETT BACKWELL/ TROY BUTCHER/MAL/GREG ANDERSON/LUKE NORMAN/JUSTIN BROOKS/MARK COSGROVE/JAMES WEST/NICK CHIGWIDDEN but no BAYMAN.

First time ive been for about 2 years, the regulars were mostly fatter, must
be all the nutritous race course food.

It was an enjoyable TITulating experience, next year I need Blinkers on !

grog caravan prices

CORONA $7-90
CROWN $6-90
STRONGBOW CIDER $5-40
CARLTON DRAFT $5-20
CASCADE LIGHT $4-80
600ML WATER $3-00
PEPSI $3-60

Its only once a year, who cares lets have a drink I say.

$15 Admission

Crowd was quiet during the race unlike 2005 when MAKYBE DIVA won.

Didnt see any crowd fighting this year.

A good day out.

Sounds like a nasty tennis match, better than getting your ear volley bitten off I suppose.

I used to go to Morphettville every Melbourne Cup day when it was just like another race meet at Morephettville.
Gave it up when the yuppies invaded and prices went up.
