Fair point
Actually I was on the road[not this pitch] listening to the ABC
Clarke dropped Gayle of Hauritz
How many runs was he at the time ?
Was less than a 100 would have made Gayle a choker as well

Ive with you this choking business is all garbage
Modern day test players average 40-55 runs
For batters to get out between 55-90 is not choking at all

There is no reason why the W.I cant be ranked in the top 3 as a test playing nation in the next year. Pretty good side this just need a fit bowling attack in Edwards and Taylor. Look forward to watching them over the next year or two.

9/734 in 2 days of cricket !

102[72] Chris Gayle great innings
It reminded me of the way Clive Lloyd used to bat

No repeat from Mitchell Johnson from Perth last year when he took 5/1 off about 22 balls just b4 stumps

Seriously Mal, Mitchell Johnson's bowling is deplorable, especially with the new ball, and interesting to note Ponting wouldn't reintroduce him into the attack until Gayle got out.

At the moment, in view of possible career ending injuries to Lee and Clark, our best three bowlers (when fit) are Siddle, Bollinger and Hilfenhaus. Makes the tail a bit long though.

395 of the runs today, including a second half century of the series to Dowlin, who is far from the worst 30s near rookie batsman. (7 innings 3 fifties)

Then again, people also go on about getting out soon after a century instead of going on with it.

Bottom line is: Would you rather a 10-20 score, or 80-110?

much harde task batting 1st. katich innings fom what i watched which was most of day on was pure class. watch the bloke closely and watch his eyes.

One thing he has not lost is his ability to bowl the unplayable ball
He has managed that ball even when he is bowling below par

Sulieman Benn faces a potential suspension after being charged with a Level 2 ICC Code of Conduct offence for bringing the game into disrepute following an incident with Brad Haddin and Mitchell Johnson at the WACA. Johnson and Haddin have also been hit with charges but at the lower Level 1, which carries a maximum penalty of a fine of 50% of the player's match fee.

Why did Benn get a worse pentaly. Haddin started it by pointing bat at Benn, Johnson came in and nudged Benn and then pushed him away. I hope umpire Bowden gets fined 50 % of his match fee for standing there like a dope when he should of intervened and put a stop to it straight away, looked like he was enjoying it. What a joke.

Benn - 6' 8" and built Johnson 6' 2" and equiped with some martial arts skills.

Let 'em sort it out man on man I reakon.

On a serious note, what the hell did Haddin think pointing his bat at Benn was going to prove? Bloody wickies, no brains.

Perth seems to bring the best confrontations, DK & Javed, Terry Alderman, maybe that's why it's called the WACA.

I think you've just stated the very reason why WI can't be ranked in the top three as a test playing nation next year. Fidel Edwards and Jerome Taylor are the gun bowlers who are going to propel this side into the top three? mally has been going on about roads but the fact remains that neither side has a great attack and the runs are flowing.

Even at full strength the Windies aren't better than England, South Africa, Australia, Pakistan and India. They are improving I'll give them that but their performances might actually say more about the decline of Australia rather than the improvement of the West Indies I am sorry to say.
